Maximillian did what he had promised Rafaella, after she did the second round of medical tests, to respond to the inquiries she was subjected to after that attack in prison; and to be cleared by the Supreme Court of Justice.
She knew that her act had weighed heavily in such a decision, but with the testimonies of the women police, including Officer Cole and of course Maximillian's power, knowledge and money made all the difference.
When she was released from prison, her family was waiting for her ... and tears rolled down Rafaella's white cheeks.
Everyone was so touched by it that they did not notice that Maximillian was huddled in his armored Jeep with a sad look and lost in his thoughts ...
