Sinnoh Start

After a long boat trip and an outfit change for all, our heroes finally managed to arrive at Sandgem Town, home of Sinnoh's pokemon professor.

"Woah, it's so pretty here!" Molly says in awe, now wearing blue leggings and a pale blue vest with her white shirt. "And it has the fresh sea air." Brock says, sporting a new brown and orange vest over his green shirt.

"Let's head to Professor Rowan's research lab first." Ash says, his hat, gloves, pants, shoes, backpack, and short sleeve jacket all different.

Once they reach the lab, they're greeted by the sight of a young trainer around Ash's age. She had blue hair and eyes, a white beanie, and a black and pink dress. She was also holding a Piplup, and they were both scuffed up a bit.

"Excuse me?" Ash asked. The two looked over. "Do you know where Professor Rowan is?"

"Yeah, he's talking to a pokemon breeder at the moment while the breeder's brother is training outside." She says. "Oh, I'm Dawn! And this is my partner, Piplup. We just started our journey." She says as the Piplup lets out a cute "Pip! Piplup!"

"It's so cute!" Molly says happily. "I'm Ash, this is my Pikachu, Eevee, and Togetic." Ash introduced. "I'm Molly, Ash's cousin, and this is Flaaffy, Teddiursa, and Phanpy.' The girl greets, all four pokemon gave their own greeting.

"And I'm Brock. I'm also a pokemon breeder." Brock says. "Wow, quite a group!" Dawn says. Just then, Professor Rowan and a familiar face, Reggie, came out.

"Hey Ash, Brock, Molly! It's been a while." He greeted kindly. "Hi Reggie, glad to see you're well." Brock says.

"You're already acquainted?" Professor Rowan asked. "Yeah, I met the three in Hoenn to watch my brother in the Ever Grande Conference." Reggie explained.

"Your brother was in the same Ever Grande Conference as Ash?" Molly asked.

"Yeah, and the Indigo and Silver Conferences. But Ash beat him all three times." Reggie confirmed.

"Wait, really?" Molly and Brock asked in confusion. "..Wait, he's the one with a Torterra, right?" Ash asked. "The very same! Right now, he's doing some intense training for his pokemon." Reggie says.

The group decided to go to where Paul was training, where his pokemon were attacking and blocking. But three pokemon were just sustaining attacks, no blocking or dodging.

They were Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup, all shiny. It seemed Chimchar was getting the worst of it.

"Pathetic! Absolutely pathetic!" He scolded the young fire type. "You're not worth the time." He says, then breaking the Chimchar's pokeball, releasing the chimp.

Chimchar was shocked and begged Paul to take him back. Ash couldn't stand the sight and stormed over. "Hey! What's wrong with you?!" He shouted.

Paul glared, but saw it was Ash. "You again?!" He growled. "How dare you hurt Chimchar's feelings?! He's working so hard!" Ash scolded.

"What I do with my pokemon is none of your business." He says. Before Ash could say or do anything, the Turtwig and Piplup steal their own pokeballs, and Turtwig breaks them with Razor Leaf.

"What the?!" Reggie exclaimed. Paul was slightly shocked but sighed. "Don't wanna be on the team? Fine. You three deserve each other." Paul says, but was met with a harsh smack across the face by Ash.

"Never treat anyone, especially your own pokemon, like that again." Ash growled.

"...I got stronger. I will beat you. I say we settle this now." The purple haired trainer says. "Three on three." Ash looked and sighed softly. "Fine. Have it your way."

The two get in their positions, and Paul let's out a Starly while Togetic flies to the field.

Starly started with Aerial Ace, but Togetic countered with her own Aerial Ace, which did more damage. Starly used Double Team, but Togetic uses Fairy Wind on all of them, knocking out the Starly.

"Is that really all you got?!" Paul says to the unconscious Starly, clearly disappointed as he returned it to its ball.

Eevee got in the field as Togetic left the area, and Paul let's out a Shuppet. It uses Charge Beam, but Eevee dodges and then attacks with Dig. She then quickly knocks it out with Shadow Ball.

Paul groans and returns the ghost type. He then lets out his Elekid while Pikachu takes Eevee's place in the field.

Elekid started with Thunder. "Pikachu, disperse maneuver!" Ash called out. Pikachu nodded and stood on his tail, making Thunder transfer to the ground, and Pikachu only gained a scratch.

Elekid then swung Brick Break, but Pikachu counters with Iron Tail. Elekid has a free arm, however, and uses that to land the attack.

Pikachu landed on his feet and uses Dig. "Great.." Paul groaned but was shocked to see Pikachu emerge with Volt Tackle, knocking the Electric Pokemon right out.

Paul sighs and returns Elekid. "I'm off. Later." He says, releasing Starly. "Hey, what was that for?!" Dawn asked. "I'll find a stronger Starly or one of its evolutions." Paul says and walks off.

"Is he always like this?" Molly asked. "Unfortunately. Don't tell him, but I hope he'll get an attitude adjustment soon." Reggie says.

The starter trio Paul abandoned walk over and nuzzles Ash. "I think they like you." Reggie says with a laugh."

"Really? Do you three want to come with me?" Ash asked, and the three nodded.

He smiled, and then he caught the three. Just then, Rowan comes out with new pokedexes for Ash and Brock. Which Ash uses now.
[Turtwig, the Tiny Leaf Pokemon. A Grass Type. It undertakes photosynthesis with its body, making oxygen. The leaf on its head wilts if it is thirsty. This Turtwig is Level 18 with the ability Overgrow, Male, and knows the moves Tackle, Leafage, Growth, Bullet Seed, Razor Leaf, Swords Dance, Bulldoze, Sunny Day, Solar Beam, Energy Ball, Seed Bomb, Worry Seed*Egg Move*, Heavy Slam*Egg Move*, Stockpile*Egg Move*, Spit Up*Egg Move*, Swallow*Egg Move*, Body Slam*Egg Move*, Sand Tomb*Egg Move*, Double-Edge*Egg Move*, Thrash*Egg Move*, Shell Smash*Egg Move*, and Earth Power*Egg Move*]

[Chimchar, the Chimp Pokemon. A Fire Type. It is very agile. Before going to sleep, it extinguishes the flame on its tail to prevent fires. This Chimchar is Level 18 with the ability Blaze, Male, and knows the moves Flamethrower, Fury Swipes, Power-Up Punch, Flame Wheel, Swift, Sunny Day, Dig, Work Up, Double Team, Thunder Punch, Fire Punch, Heat Wave*Egg Move*, Double Kick*Egg Move*, Submission*Egg Move*, Counter*Egg Move*, Focus Punch*Egg Move*, and Blaze Kick*Egg Move*]

[Piplup, the Penguin Pokemon. A Water Type. It lives along shores in northern countries. A skilled swimmer, it dives for over 10 minutes to hunt. This Piplup is level 18 with the ability Torrent, Male, and knows the moves Water Gun, Peck, Bubble Beam, Aerial Ace, Rain Dance, Ice Beam, Swagger, Bide, Pluck, Double Team, Double Hit*Egg Move*, Feather Dance*Egg Move*, Aqua Ring*Egg Move*, and Hydro Pump*Egg Move*]

"Oh, Ash! I wanna give you something. You should take these with you. Think of them as your prize for beating Paul and as a "Welcome to Sinnoh" gift." Reggie says, handing Ash four eggs.

"Woah. Thank you." The young trainer thanked. "Of course. When you come by Veilstone City, visit me, okay?" The older breeder says.

"Got it." Brock says. "Hey guys? Where will you guys go first?" Dawn asked. "Well, Oreburgh City has a gym. So I'll go there." Ash says.

"Do you mind if I go with you? Jubilife is right before that, and I'm gonna be a coordinator. So Jubilife City is my first stop." Dawn says.

"Sure!" Molly says. "What do you say?" Brock says. "Sure." Ash confirms. The group headed off on a new adventure with a new friend.
