I hear my alarm and start screaming....in my head. Mornings are not my thing. Im sure many people agree with me. But as the older person, I have to make sure Dylan gets up. Its six a.m. I feel bad for the people who I will encounter on the way to school. Hopefully no one. I opened Dylan's door and nudge his shoulder. He doesn't budge. This kid. I swear one of these days Ill dump water on him and see how he reacts. After seeing he still isn't up, I take things to the next level. After cracking my knuckles, I violently shake him until he wakes up. He hits me with a pillow and groans. "Should've just woken up the first time you little prick," I said.

I dug through a box with clothes and shoes in it. I pulled out an over sized flannel, a black cami and some jeans. I want to be stylish but I really don't have the energy or time to dig in all these boxes for my clothes.

I then walked to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. I braided my curly hair into a loose bun which I thought looked decent. I didn't have time to eat but Dylan was outside eating cereal already. After he saw me leave the bathroom, he got his things and walked to my car. I was my dads old car but I use now since he wont be needing it. I got in the drivers seat and started driving. "Dylan, put your school into maps so I know where i'm going." He nodded and put in the address of his new middle school. I connected my phone to the radio and turned on our "favorites" playlist. Lauryn Hill came on and we both started singing. Following the directions, we shortly arrived at his school.

"Bye Dylan. Have a great day. Don't scare any girls away." I said. He laughed and said, "I definitely won't. Thanks for the concern though sis. We all know boys will be more scared of you than girls will be of me." I laughed and waved. He walked in and I drove off.

I pulled up into what I think is my school. There was a big sign that read, "Welcome Back Tigers!" Ugh, tigers really? How original. Im really not excited to be a "tiger" but the quicker I get my diploma, the faster I can do online college and get a good job. Let me just try to find Gabby and go on with my day. I grabbed my backpack and stepped out of my car.

As I walked up the sidewalk, I heard "Hey bitttch." I immediately knew who it was. I turned around with a smile on my face. "Gabby! Ahhh I'm so happy to see you!" "I know you are." She said. Damn Gabby, you make me sound pathetic. We open the doors to the school. There's nothing out of the ordinary about it. I can see all the cliques and people hugging saying "I missed you."

Gabby and I walked to administration to get our info on classes and locker combos. I also want to know when tryouts for sports are. Sports distract me from my jacked up life.

Gabby and I were making conversation while walking to the lockers our books would call home. "I wonder if there's any cute boys at this school?" Gabby said. "Maybe. But they wouldn't want you." I laughed. "Yeah right. You know everyone wants this." She said as she popped out her butt. I just laughed. We got to our lockers and unlocked them. As soon as Gabby opened it we heard a "SMACK." "What the hell! Watch where your opening that." Gabby closed her locker and we saw this guy. "Sorry for hitting you but you should probably watch where your going." Gabby said. "Oh, so this is my fault?" The guy said. "Yes, I think it is mister know it all." Gabby said while rolling up her sleeves and cracking her neck.

"Josh, leave them alone." This brunette came out of no where and said. "So sorry girls, Josh has a bit of a temper. Hi I'm Maddie. Nice to meet you!" She seems nice but I know girls like her. They act cute but when no ones around, its like a whole different person. The guy who I think is Josh just eyed Gabby up and down, scoffed, and walked away. "If you want, I can give you a tour, maybe introduce you to some people. I would introduce you to the captain of the football team, but hes not here today. He has this huge thing for me and I dont know why." She said giggling. She said a few more things but I kinda just tuned her out. Her rant was getting annoying. Gabby gave me the look and said, "no were good thanks though." Maddie look angry for a quick second then smiled and said, "okay bye then." I sighed. "Damn, she never stops talking. I dont know who this captain of the football team is but if I were him, I would not like her." Gabby laughed. We went our separate ways and got to our classes before the bell rang. The day went by really fast. It was already time for lunch.

I found Gabby and we sat down. She got school lunch and I didn't get anything because I wasn't hungry. Gabby looked at me and said "incoming." I didnt know what that meant until Maddie came over to our table. "Im not eating lunch over here but I just wanted to invite you to my friend Nico's back to school party tonight." She had the fakest smile I have ever seen but a party sounds nice. An escape from reality. "Ok, thanks," I said.

The rest of the school day ended and I left school excited for the party. Usually I hate parties but I'm feeling really sucky today. Hopefully it will be fun.
