"Are we almost there?" Dylan asked. I took a deep breath in. "Yes Dylan, we are,"I answered in annoyance.  I finally pull up into a pathetic apartment complex that we will call home. "It doesn't look too bad does it Dylan?" I asked hoping he would like it. "It looks great sis." Dylan smiled. I know we have been through a lot but I just want to make a new start.

"Alright, lets hurry up and unpack. We start school tomorrow." Dylan nodded. We grabbed what little we had and walked up the stairs to the room. I fidgeted with my keys trying to find the right one. "Ah, here they are." I unlocked the door and opened it. It wasn't too bad inside. Small but nice. Dylan ran to inspect each room so he could call dibs. "Dylan, Im three years older than you, I think I get the big room" I chuckled. He just scoffed and brought his stuff to the smaller of the two rooms.

Its been two hours and all of our stuff was unpacked. The rent for this place was the cheapest I could find. Tomorrow, I have an interview with a restaurant called Happytime Sushi. I really hope I get it. But for now, I need to find something to eat for Dylan. It really sucks that we don't have parents anymore. Well, I guess we do, but we also don't. I told myself I would never visit my dad again after what he did to us. He deserves to rot in jail. As for my mom, she's a bitch for running away from her problems. Running away from the children she claimed she loved.

I dug into the cardboard box labeled "food and kitchen." I found some Kraft mac n cheese as well as some chicken that I brought in a cooler. After Dylan and I ate, we got ready for bed.

My phone buzzed and on the screen it said "Your most bestest friend." I answered the phone. "Hey Gabbz, whats up?" She asked if I was settled and what I was wearing tomorrow. I answered and said, "yes, I am settled and you will have to find out because I also have no clue what I am wearing." She laughed and said, "ok go to sleep, Ill see you tomorrow" and hung up the phone. Fine, don't say bye like a good friend just hang up why don't you. I sighed and walked to Dylan's room. He was sound asleep. I smiled. I closed the door and walked to my new room which had a bathroom. Im so excited about that. Although my life sucks, there is still good in it. As long as no one bugs me at school tomorrow, we should be good. Maybe, Ill even be invited to a party.

I drifted off to sleep dreading tomorrow.
