The Accident

Chapter 3 Help

Meiling and Abigail go outside. It's super dark and the only source of light is the moon and the street lights. Meiling put the ball down and they started kicking it back and fourth. About an hour later they are soaking wet and the rain got harder. They can barley see two feet in front of them. "Woo this is so fun! I,ve never done this before." Meiling screamed to make sure I heard her voice through the loud clap of the rain. "I feel like we should go inside, It's to bad out here." Abigail said with worry in her voice. "What?! No! The party is just now starting."

Abigail shakes it off and they continue to play. Then Abigail kicked the ball to hard. Meilinh is running for it without paying attention to her surroundings. As she is running for it Abigail sees headlights.Abigail then screams in the top of her lungs "Meiling! LOOK OUT!!!"

And just then it was to late. The car hit her and drove off as fast as they could. Abigail screams in fear and runs to meiling. She kneels down right beside her motionless body. Abigail starts screaming. She picks up Meilings body and runs inside the house in fear. She screams for Meilings parents. Just then her mom walks out in fear. Just as she saw her daughters body in Abigails arms she screams in fear and grabs her phone and dials 911. "WHAT HAPPENED!" Meilings mom asks. "Meiling wanted to play soccer! I tried to tell her it was to dangerous but she made me!" Abigail lays meilinh down on the couch. Meiling was bleeding out and Abigail rises to the kitchen to grab a rag to stop the bleeding. Meilings mom speaking time fast in the phone for the cops to understand in the background.

"Don't worry meiling, I got you, stay with me please," Abigail says with tears swelling in her eyes. Finally the ambulance showed up to the house. They strapped her into a cart and put her in the back. They allowed Her mom and Abigail to sit in the back with them. Once they all got in there was so much happening. They had people giving her air, screaming clear while putting electricity to her chest. There was this constant beeping in the background. All Abigail can think about is the moment the car hit.

Finally Thay arrived at the hospital. They rushed Meilinh to a room and made Abigail and Meilings mom wait in another room. Abigail sat there praying to God to keep her best friend safe and Meilings mom sat there on her knees praying. After what felt like three hours the doctor comes in. You can see on his face he was finding a way to say things as easily as possible. "Mrs. Wade, I'm afraid we have bad news." His voice chocked as he said these next words "your daughter did not make it." In the moment Abigail fell down crying thinking about how she could've stopped her. Meilings mom Asked to go see her and they let both of us go back one at a time. Mrs wade went in there and said her last words to her beautiful baby. Tears building up she hugs her daughter and you can hear the pain in her voice. Finally it was Abigails Turn.

Everything was quite. Abigail looks at Meilings lifeless body. No motion. No movement. Abigail is playing all the memories in her head. She thinks about all the times they had together. Meilings laugh played in her head. The songs they listened to turned into a sad song. Abigail look down to see dry blood on her shirt left from Meiling. Suddenly the room becomes a big blur. Her tears filled her eyes up till they just fell. Abigail slowly walks up to Meilings and puts her hand on her. "Meiling," Abigail starts, "you have made me a better person. The memories you gave me with forever be in my heart. You stood out to others in a good way. Your smile made everyone else happy." Abigail says that with pain in her voice.

She makes a fist "It's my fault!" She says with anger, "I saw that car coming! It should've been me! I hit that ball over there! I knew it was dangerous!" Abigail starts blaming everything on herself. She then goes on with it. Abigail then kneels next to her and puts her hands together to pray. " God, I'm sorry .  I know this is in your hands. You know what your doing. I just wish I could have more time with her."  Then she feels someone grab her hand. Abigail looks up and sees meiling smile at her. Abigail in shock stood up as fast as she good. She then screams for the doctor. "SHES ALIVE!" Mrs. Wade runs in and she's her child sit there with that same smile. The doctors rushed in and urged us to walk out to run tests on her.

Meilings mom and I sat there talking about what happened. Abigail told  her about her prayer and that's when she woke up. Meilings mom hugged me and smiled. "This is Gods work." She states. " but she was gone just a second ago. Why would she want to come back!" Abigail says with confusion. Then suddenly they doctor comes in. "Well she's alive! I have no idea how she's alive because we were for sure she was gone." Mrs. Wade and Abigail then got up. "Can we go talk to her?" Mrs. Wade and said at the same time. " I'm sorry but unfortunately your daughter and friend will no longer be able to speak anymore. She is paralyzed from the waist down and will not be able to walk again." The doctor said. They all knew that was a sad thing but were all happy she gets to live again.

Meilings mom and Abigail walk inside the room to see meiling sitting there with a huge smile on her face. Meiling  grabbed a piece of  paper to speak to us. When she was done writing it, you will never believe what it said on there...
