Birthday Memories

Part one

December 12th, 2020
Lexi and Christian were woken up by someone jumping all over their bed. Groaning, Christian sat up and caught his son mid jump, and pulled him down onto the bed. Noah broke out into a fit of laughter. Lexi watched all of this in amusement.

"Guess what, daddy!" Noah almost shouted, Lexi having to remind him to use inside voices.

"What baby?" Christian asked, grinning at his son. All three had messy bed hair, and the adults were only wearing a little clothing. Noah had his toy story pajamas on.

"It's my birthday. I two!" Noah exclaimed, getting up to jump on the bed some more. Lexi sat up, bringing her little boy into her lap so she can give him snuggles. Noah giggled as Lexi kissed him all over his face.

"Well, birthday boy. Why don't we go make some special birthday pancakes?" Lexi asked. Noah nodded excitedly and all 3 Yelich's got out of the bed.

June 2nd, 2018
Lexi had been sick for days now, going on a week. Christian was out of town for more than a week, returning tomorrow to start a home stretch. Lexi had called friends, asking them what to do. She was nauseous, exhausted, and had bad headaches. All of her friends said to take a pregnancy test, so that's what she was doing now. She had taken the day off of work. She needed a "me day". At 8:21 am, she took her first test. They had told her to take a few tests, just to be sure. She peed and waited a few minutes for the results. After 3 minutes, she flipped the test around and was shocked. Positive. Her 3 other tests had come back positive as wells. She cried. Her and Christian were having a baby. She wished so badly Christian was here with her. But now, she can surprise him.

The following day, Christian had come home at 7:53 pm. Lexi had wrapped the 4 tests together, and put it in a gift bag. It sat on the coffee table as it waited for Christian to open it.

Christian came through the door and quickly set his bags down, going to find Lexi. She sat on the couch, waiting for him. The second she saw him, she jumped into his arms.

"Hi love. I missed you so much", Christian said quickly, and then kissed her. He broke away and saw the gift sitting on the table.

"What's that? It's not my birthday", Christian asked, and saw Lexi smile.

"Open it", she said, and pushed him towards the gift. He gave her a weird look, but reached for the bag and tore away the paper that was inside the bag. He saw a weird thing wrapped in gift wrap, and took it out of the bag. He slowly opened the the paper, and his eyes widened when he saw was inside.

"Wha- what is this?" he asks, tears already forming in his eyes.

"Love. We're having a baby", Lexi says softly, and walks over to him. His face breaks into a huge smile, and he picked her up in a huge hug. He's crying and whispering "thank you, thank you, thank you" again and again. He kisses her long, and when he pulls away, Lexi can see how happy he is.

Well, this is my second story thing of the day, oops. This is going to be a 3 part story btw. :)
