Birthday Memories

Part two

December 12th, 2020
After breakfast, the little family got cleaned up and ready for a fun day. They were going to see Christian's family for a little lunch and to hang out, then they were going to go to the zoo.

"Mama", Noah says, going up to Lexi while she was getting ready for the day.

"Yes baby?" she replies, turning to look at him. He wasn't wearing anything, walking  around the house naked.

"Baby, where are your clothes?" Lexi asked, setting her hair brush down on the bathroom counter.

"I don't know", Noah replies, and looked around the room, like his clothes would somehow be in Christian and Lexi's room. Lexi took Noah's hand and brought him to his room. His clothes for the day were all over the floor, and so was his overnight diaper.

"Noah... why did you take your diaper off?" she asked the little boy standing next to her. He shrugged, looking down. She crouched down to his level and took his jaw, so she could look him in the eye.

"My boy. I love you so much. I'm not mad at you, I just want to know why you took off your diaper without me or daddy here", Lexi says softly. She wanted him to know she was not upset. He nodded, and she wiped the few tears that were forming in his eyes. She stands up and starts picking up the clothes on his floor.

"Come on. Let's get you dressed and find daddy."

July 30th, 2018
Christian and Lexi were sitting in a room, waiting for their 16 week ultrasound.

"Are we finding out the gender today?" Christian asked Lexi.

" I don't know. Do you want to, or should we wait for a party?" Lexi replied. Christian looked deep in a thought.

"Can we find out today?" Christian asked. He really didn't care when he found out, or what gender his baby is. As long as the baby is ok, he doesn't care.

"Sure", Lexi replied. He smiled at her. She started showing at about 12 weeks. He loves her little belly. A knock on the door startles them both.

"Hey guys. How are you doing today?" The doctor, Dr. Bailey asks.

"We're good", Lexi replies. "Can you tell us the gender today?" Dr. Bailey nods, and Christian smiles down at Lexi. He starts the ultrasound. He does all the regular measuring and checks, and plays the heartbeat. Both of them tear up a little bit. Their baby.

"Are you guys ready for the gender?" Dr. Bailey asks. Lexi and Christian look at each other, and turn to the doctor and nod. He looks around a little bit and finds it.

"Y'all ready?" he asks. Both adults look at the screen eagerly, excited to know. He finds it, and takes a picture. He points to the screen and says,

"That looks like a boy to me."
