I thought I knew you
But I realized to late
You don't see me
The same way

I fell for you
But you liked guys
I really didn't want too
You saw me as a friend

I saw you as a crush
And you'll never know
The adrenalin rush
I get when I see you

I thought we were forever
But forever was so short
I wish you'd seen through my eyes
On the days we built that pillow fort

I hope one day you'll understand
You were my everything
You helped me stand
By myself and with my friends

I then came face to face with reality
And she gave me another to love
One who also loved me
And this love is true

I just hope when we meet next
You haven't looked back
realize how much you love me
And try to get me back
