Derek's POV:

We arrive at Y/N's house and see cops and ambulances and firetrucks. Y/N dropped to her knees and started crying. Mike helped her up even though i could have done that, it wasn't the time to compete with him. I get dragged out of my thoughts as i start to think about Y/N's parents.

Derek: MRS.L/N!!!!!! MR.L/N!!!

Y/N: omg my parents!!!

Y/N got up and started running around and asking about her parents. vallyk, me, and mike join in. Then I hear screaming so i get the boys gathered and went running for Y/N. She was crying and hurt and couldn't speak, ...all she could do was cry. She stood there frozen as tears fall down her face. Her mom and dad where brought out of the burning house on stretchers. she runs to her mom because she wasn't moving. she grabs on the side of the bed as she cries.

*At the Hospital*

Y/N POV:

Derek and Vallyk where told to go home by Vallyk's mom, so me and mike went to the hospital.

Doctor: Excuse me Y/N and Mike you can come in to your dad's room but your mom has surgery being done on her right now.

Me and Mike walk to my dad's room and see him healthy and eating food. You can tell my dad was sad. His eyes where gloomy and he was slightly frowning and his eyes where red.

Y/N: Dad are you okay?!?!

Dad: yes i'm doing okay, I don't have severe injuries i just got burnt on my arm that's all.

Mike: What happened?

Dad: Y/N mom left the food on the stove and all of a sudden the house was up in flames.

Mike held my hand and looked down at his feet. while I stared at my Dad's bandage. it was silent for awhile so my dad felt the need to talk.

Dad: So.... Your Mike right?

Mike: Yes I am has she mentioned me a lot

Dad: No not really Derek has mentioned you a couple times.

Mike: oh

My dad was looking around the room and then looked at me and mike holding hands and had a big smirk on his face.

Dad: yea so are you my daughters boyfriend.

Y/N: DaAad no he's just a friend

Mike: I mean for now I'm a friend

Dad: Yup my daughter is good at friend zoning people whisper *poor derek*

Mike:huh

Y/N: What

my dad laughs as me and mike are concerned and wondering what in the world he just said. but then a nurse comes in and she looks very guilty so I turn around to lock eyes.

Nurse: I'm sorry but your mother did not make it.

The nurse left the room and i start balling my eyes out as I buried my face into Mike's chest. my dad started to cry and repeated

Dad: I swear that everything will be just fine.

Mike just held me the whole time as I cried. What am I going to do without my mother. How could she die without even saying goodbye, why did she have pass away so early she is only 39.

*2 hours later of crying*

mike held me close even tho he was asleep. I was sniffling but trying to hold back the rest of my tears. It's nothing you can get over with in a day or so, but I'm going to try my best not to show that I'm hurt for my dad. As stop crying a nurse comes in the room and talks about how I got to leave, and my dad has to stay there for 3 days so they can tend to his burns, so me and mike leave.
