The Beginning of the end.

Jony and I were sitting at the lakeshore and thinking about how life goes on each day. With my pen and papers, I used to continue my passion as a writer. Ten years before, I worked as a novelist at The Countdown, all my books were bestsellers, but I decided to stop and live my life as peaceful as I have right now. I saw a boy for about five years old with a shiny hair and white teeth, looks like he is a child actor at his age, together with his grandmother aging nearly sixty. He called her grandma, so I had the conclusion that they are related.

I supposed to write my story when Jony asked me to eat because it was lunch when I settled at the lakeshore. He is a good- looking tall man, same with my age of mid-thirties, has brown iris and is totally ladies’ choice. We have been friends since I found this good place to write.

“It’s almost late, would you like to eat?”

“I beg to disagree, but my stomach doesn’t.” we both chuckled as we go to the nearest food store. I rushed my food and left Jony alone because I must get back before I write nothing.

Finally, got my fortress and turned the music on and started to write.

While I was playing Air Supply medley, my eyes went again to the child and his grandmother. The child is sitting on his grandma’s lap with his melting ice cream in his grip, I saw something that made him feel uncomfortable. Oddly, I felt the same way, too.

I outgrew romantic stories of how two people fall and fall apart. Jessica, an uptown girl who has a blonde hair, grayish eyes and skinny body is the well- known painter in her town. She loves to do such works that is embracing her life as a single lady. Upon showing her purest reflection on her artworks, Levis a man in the mid- thirties, astonished about her works without knowing that Jessica owns those all. He keeps on buying those artworks because he deeply fell in love on it.

I lost my concentration when Jony poked me and said,

“I have to go, I have an agenda tonight and it’s almost near.”

“Go on, I got to stick on this story before I go home.” I replied with my hands waving at him.

Five steps away, he said that I will not be able to see him on the next day for his busy schedule. I just nodded.

Levis has been struck with curiosity and decides to find out who is the person behind those artworks he admires the most.

It was getting dark and I cannot even see the letters I am writing so I decided to go home at exactly seven o’ clock.

When I stood up, I saw a small box, a mailbox- sized sealed with plastic and ribbons near the lake. I put my papers and pen inside it because the heaven is groaning, and light is striking sharply. I ran as fast as I could not to be wet but unfortunately, I did not make it, rain was on me.

At last, I reached home and fixed myself to bed. Quite a tiring day though I did not make most of it. After fixing myself, I fell asleep thinking about the boy I saw at the lakeshore. Longer than I thought I could.

“Oh man. What time is it?” I asked myself.
I woke up late with my body bare on bed. I put my silk pink robe and quickly ran to the shower.

“I’m way too late in my agenda today at St. Bernard.” with my voice trembling, I rebuke myself.

Downstairs, I saw aunt Lily preparing for our breakfast since we did not see each other every day. She often visits me because of her busy schedule at the golf club.

“Why you look so pissed? You better sit and eat what I have prepared.” my aunt pleaded me.

I cannot refuse her invitation because I’m afraid that she might get mad. She is the only relative I had, her hair is turning white and wrinkles over her skin which made her more attractive are all that I love in her look.
