It was quiet in the room I didn't know what to say and my mom was just looking at me warily to see if I would freak out. I don't see why, witches aren't real as far as I know I mean wouldn't people notice? If I was a witch it would explain a lot like my eyes for example bright purple eyes are not common at all I don't think. This is starting to get really weird what am I suppose to do in this situation? So I do the only thing I can I fell to the floor laughing so hard that tears were coming out of my eyes.
"Serena?" My mom questions worriedly. I just continued rolling on the floor.
"A witch?" I say in between laughs. "Are you high? Do you need medical attention? Cuz witches are not real." I say sobering up and getting off the floor.
"Serena." She sighs looking completely serious.
Ok this is starting to worry me. I was about to say something but was cut off by this throbbing pain in my head way beyond a head ache. I fell to the ground grabbing my head screaming.
"Serena?! Serena, what's wrong?!?!" She yells kneeling down next to me.
"My head." Is the only words that come out of my mouth before darkness consumed me.

I woke up to a loud bang coming from down stairs. I look around and realize I'm not in my bed I'm not even in my room I'm on the couch in the creepy room mom brought me to. I try to sit up big mistake on my part I grab my head as it starts throbbing this feels worse then any hangover I ever had.
There was another bang just this one sounded closer. I will myself off the little couch to see what was making the noise. When I open the door I see my little brother Elliot coming up the stairs with a huge box filled with springs.
Why the hell does he even need springs? He's 15 and probably the smartest person I know, with his light brown hair swept out of his face. He's always up to something he never even let's me in his room cuz he's always 'doing something'.
The box he's trying to pull up the stairs looks like it weighs more then him. What to do in this situation sit and watch him struggle and most likely drop it down the stairs or help him out. But I can't let him see me like this I don't even know why I'm like this. Where the hell is mom?!
"Elliot? Is that you dear?" My moms voice rings through the house from what sounds like it's from the kitchen.
"Yeah mom it's me." Elliot yells out of breath. Wow that thing must be heavy. I mean he's only half way up the flight of stairs and already breathless. He's not the strongest but he is not scrawny he's probably stronger then me well that wouldn't be surprising since I never really do anything physical.
Ok I need to focus on the important thing at hand.
"FUCK!!!" Elliot screamed right before a Big Bang and the sound of rolling came.
When I look over at him he was sitting on the stairs looking distraught as he sees the box and all the items that were inside all over the floor.
"Hah that's hilarious." I say laughing at him until another voice interrupted.
"You better have a damn good reason for your language and all that noise." My mother says coming out of the kitchen with a scowl on her face.
"Sorry, I thought I saw something stupid." Elliot says looking directly at me with a scowl which morphed into a look of confusion and disbelief. "Serena, your eyes..." He says pointing at my face with wide eyes.
Shit I was hoping they would stop glowing. Guess I was wrong. I turn around quickly and run back into the room while I hear my mom saying something to Elliot and the door to the room creaking open a few seconds later.
"Serena?" It was my moms voice. "Are you okay, sweetheart?" She says looking at me with concern.
"Tell me what's going on with me right now and none of that witch bullshit either I want the truth." I say seriously as my eyes bore into hers.
"Okay, I will tell you just give me your wrist." she says digging into her pocket.
"My wrist? Why the hell do you need my wrist?" I say holding my wrist out to her she pulls out the same bracelet she had earlier and hooks it around my wrist.
"This bracelet will control what happens to you it keeps your eyes a normal color and keeps everything in check. You need to wear this at all times." She tells me looking at me seriously.
"Okay I will. But what do you mean by keep everything in check?" I ask confused.
"Serena I wasn't lying about what I said before your not normal and you are a supernatural being." She tells me making me sit down on the couch.
"How do you know?" I ask curiously.
"Our family hasn't always been normal this sorta thing skips generations." She explains
"What about dad?" My mom scoffed.
"Please he can't even figure out
How to use the fucking can opener." She smiles gently. "Are you okay?""I'm just confused why were my eyes purple?"
"That happens to all magical beings it's usually the eyes that change color but in some cases there has been hair and in rare cases when the magical being is not meant to be one but is there skin turns colors." She says looking at me intently.
"Oh."
"Serena, you can not tell anyone about this nobody should know unless you truly and really trust that person." She says looking at me seriously.
"Ok," I whispered feeling out of breath all of a sudden,"is that it? Or do I get some awesome superpowers like in the movies?" My mom sighs shakes her head then smiles lightly at me.
"Yes and no. You will have some powers but those will come in when your ready, but there are also spells and some other things you will learn." She explains.
"Does this mean I have t-" I start but get cut off by a loud bang. Mom just stares at me then the door then back at me with wide eyes.
"We will talk more later." she rushes out the door.
"Wait, you never let me finish" I yell to my mom. I see her head pop back into the room.
"Yes Serena, you are going to school starting tomorrow." She says giving me a stern look then rushes down the hall to investigate the loud bang which I am to lazy to do. Damn she knows me to well.
I sighed and fell back on the chair trying to process everything which is very hard might I add. Another loud smash echoed through the house. I jump out of my seat.
"What the fuck is that?"
