It was a week or two later and the secret was still kept. Afterall, it wasn't that big of a deal.
Sydney and I had a group of mutual friends that wasn't part of the group Emily was in. It was my friend, Kelsey, birthday. She had a sleepover with me, Karly, Sydney and Jordan. We had a lot of fun. Sydney had a crush on this guy. He knew. Of course he knew. I took her phone and said "be my v" meaning valentine as a joke. She was mad for a little but got over it over the night or atleast that's what it seemed like.
At school the next week, Sydney was acting weird. Nothing really happened though so I thought nothing. That Friday, Emily started acting weird too. She would say to me she was so pissed off but not tell me why. She'd give everyone an explanation but me. I thought I did something dumb to make her mad. That's all I thought.
That night, I found out what had been going on. Sydney told Emily and it wasn't the reaction I was expecting. It was so much worse.
