You lean casually against your locker, textbooks stacked in your arms.

"So, like I was saying, I was thinking we could go to the park on Sunday for a picnic or something," you say to the boy next to you.

He clicks his locker shut before replying.

"Yeah, I already said I was looking forward to it," he huffs, "Go on, you have a class to get to. Aren't you showing the new girl around as well?"

"Walk with me. Yeah, I'm supposed to be showing her around during second period," you reply.

"Hey, maybe she could come to the park with us on Sunday? She probably needs some friends."

"I kind of wanted it to be just us, Seonghwa. We haven't been able to catch up outside of school in ages," you pout.

"Oh, come on. We should be nice to the new kid," he shakes his head.

You can't help the feeling of disappointment that fills you at his words. Why can't he just get the hint? You muster a smile. If it's what he wanted, you could endure it.

"I guess there's no harm in asking," you say halfheartedly.

"Well, I'll leave you to it. I'll see you at lunch, okay?" Seonghwa says, waving and walking away.

You sit through an incredibly boring math class, glancing at the clock every 5 minutes, begging for it to be over.

"Y/n, go to the office. The new girl is waiting for you to show her around. Her name is Heather," the teacher finally says.

You practically run from the classroom, hoping to put as much distance between you and further mathematics as possible. A few minutes later and you're walking through the doors of the school office. You see a girl your age sitting in the waiting area and know who it is immediately. Heather sees you at the same time and she stands up, a bright smile on her face.

"I'm Heather, you must be y/n. They said you'd be showing me around," she says, her voice delicate.

Heather is tall and lean, clearly an athlete of some kind. Her eyes are a startlingly bright blue, brighter than a summer sky, paired with golden waves of hair that fall effortlessly over her shoulders.

"Yeah, that's me," you say.

You show Heather around the campus grounds and point out all the classrooms she has to go to for her schedule. It turns out that she's in a couple of your classes. You're tired by the end of the whole thing but you both still have another class before you can leave so you and Heather head to the last class of the day. At least this is one of the few classes you share with Seonghwa. You both arrive a little early, but Seonghwa is sitting in his usual spot, next to your seat.

You make a beeline for him, almost forgetting about Heather who follows quietly behind you. Seonghwa looks up at you and gives you a small wave before noticing who was behind you. You could have sworn his jaw went slack for a moment.

"Introduce us, y/n," he laughs, extending his hand to Heather in greeting.

"This is Heather, the new girl," you reply, trying to keep the disbelief out of your voice.

"So nice to meet you Heather. I'm Seonghwa," he says, voice dripping with charm.

To your utter dismay, Heather smiles brightly, and a light wash of colour flickers across her cheeks. Somehow it makes her blue eyes look even more vibrant.

"So, uh, Heather. Me and my friend were going to have a picnic on Sunday and were thinking you might like to come along?" Seonghwa continues. How did he know you had forgotten to ask?
