The Execution

Katara and Zuko where trying to figure out how to get out of the chains and escape "Are you sure you can't fire bend at all Zuko?" Katara asked in desperation "I told you before Katara I can't I am to weak!" Zuko said annoyed "Don't take that tone with me I was just asking!" Katara yelled "WELL STOP ASKING CAUSE THE ANSWER IS GOING TO BE THE SAME AS THE LAST SEVERAL TIMES YOU ASKED!" Zuko yelled "YOUR ONE OF THE WEAKEST FIRE BENDERS I KNOW!" Katara yelled "WEAK? OH I'LL SHOW YOU WEAK!!!" Zuko then breathed fire and aimed the flames at the chains but it didn't do much "Rrrrr your not getting angry enough what's the matter Zuzu can't be angry at little old me." Katara started to antagonize him once more, Katara's plane was for Zuko to get so angry and break the chains. "Katara just stop ok we have been at this all night." Zuko said the room fell into silence "By the way your not weak." Katara reassured "Thanks Katara." Katara then began looking for way out but she was drawn at a blank then the unsettling sounds of the doors open made Katara jump, after getting adjusted to the light they saw Aang two guards and their friends Sokka, Tylee, Azula, and Mai. "What are you doing here Aang?" Katata asked angrily "Well I was hoping that you two would want to see the show of Iroh." Aang replied "What show?" Zuko demanded but Aang did not say anything "WHAT SHOW!!!!" He demanded once more "Your Uncle Iroh's death show of course." Aang replied in delight, tears streamed from Zuko's face "You are a monster." Tylee said in tears "Guards let them join the rest." Aang demanded "The rest of what?" One of the guards that took Iroh away asked "JUST MOVE!" Said the other guard as he pushed the other guards shoulder. They both walked over to Katara and as they did Katara realized that the air felt cool meaning their was water in the air. Without anyone seeing she took a handful of water in both her hands and kept them hidden in her now closed hand. The guard took out a ring that had at least 5 different keys on it she also noticed that the other guard also had a 5 different keys on him as well and they where the same keys. The guard walked over and as soon as Katara heard a *click* from her chains in one swift motion she took the water that she collected from the air and pushed back both guards and Aang down to the ground. She then took the water back and freezed the chains around her wrist and broke it. With both hands now free she grabbed alot more water as the guards got up and started blasting at her she blocked them pushing the guard who set her free back against a wall and she then grabbed the other guard with her water arms

and turned him upside down her water arms acted like currents, and with her right water arm she pushed the water away causing the keys to go around to her right water arm where the keys where pulled towards her as the keys reached her she put them right in her shoe. This all happened so quick that no one knew what happened, Aang got up and blasted Katara with air, she hit the wall and fell to the ground "KATARA!!!" Sokka and Zuko yelled, Katara was on her hands and knees but was fine for the most part. The guards picked her up and put cuffs on her they took her to Aang who grabbed Katara and put her back to him, he grabbed a knife out and put it to Katara's neck "You try anything and I will kill her." Aang warned Zuko. Zuko did as told, the cuffs went in front of him, they connected the chains with Katara up front and Zuko right behind her along with everyone else "HEY where is the earth bender?!!" Aang questioned "Uh we must have left her in her cell." One of the guards said "Well go get her cause I want everyone to see Iroh's death." The guards took the prisoners to Toph's cell and opened the cell door Toph was just sitting there like she was losing hope. "Alright earth bender let's go." Said one of the guards but she didn't move "Of course course your blind, weak, and dumb." Both guards laughed as they went in to pick her up. The sound of metal breaking from the floor had the guards puzzled and before they realized it their hands where wrapped in very heavy metal as Toph welded it back to the floor the guards unable to go anywhere or even bend.Toph got out and closed the cell door, she crushed the lock to the cell together so no one can open it "I am the greatest earth bender don't you two dunder heads forget!!!" Toph yelled "Toph I have a question how did you learn to metal bend and can you teach me that???" Sokka joked "Later metal head let's get you out of here." Toph said as she broke the chains from their hands and ankles. "Now what are we gonna do?" Tylee asked "We have to get off this ship." Azula said "You guys can go but I'm not leaving without my Uncle." Zuko said as he ran away from them to find a way on deck. Everyone followed Zuko and after a little while they found a ladder, they climbed up and found themselves on deck with Aang waiting for them "Aang how did you?-" "Next time you should hide the fact that you did escape instead of leaving me clue." Aang interrupted Katara, he held up the broken chains that once bind them all. The next thing they knew guards held them down and put Toph, Zuko, Katara and Azula in a nonbending position they all looked and saw Iroh tide up in chains, one of them lead to giant heavy metal ball on the end. Everyone stood in shock "Well now that everyone is here and the sun is now above mountains it is time for Iroh to die." Aang said as he looked at the men the men pushed Iroh to the edge of the boat "WAIT!!!!" Katara yelled, Aang looked at the gaurds and held out his hand for them to stop everyone was silent "If I go with you as your wife will you let everyone go and spare Iroh's life?" Katara asked everyone turnd and looked in shock Zuko was mostly worried along with Sokka "That sounds tempting. Let me talk it over." Aang said he talked with Fire Lord Ozai "If you make this deal my brother will be imprisoned for all time." Ozai whispered Aang nodded then turned towards Katara "I will spare Iroh's life but he will spend the rest of his life in prison and you will not be allowed to see your family or friends again." Aang warned "Fine but can I at least say goodbye?" Katara asked "Make it quick before I changed my mind." The guards let everyone go and Katara made her way towards her friends she first came to her brother they exchanged tight hugs "Take good care of dad and Gran gran ok?" Sokka teared up as he said "I will Katara I promise." Sokka thought of all the times that she took care of him. Katara then proceeded to Toph, she knelt down as she saw tears streaming down her face "Oh Toph I'm gonna miss you too." They hugged "You were always the big sister I never had." Toph's voice broke "You were also a little sister to me, I'm gonna miss you Toph, keep being the best earth bender ever." "I will Katara I promise." Toph remembered all the fights they had but also all the good times they had. She then proceeded to Azula "Don't even think about a heart to heart talk with me." Azula instantly said "I wasn't planning on it." Katara chuckled "Goodbye Azula." Katara was about to continue but she felt a hand grab her arm "Wait!" Azula's voice broke the silence Katara turned as Azula let go of her arm. "What your doing is crazy brave, your sacrificing everything to save my Uncle, I never thought I would say this but...Thank you." Katara gave a warm smile as she nodded her head Azula then hugged her, Katara was stunned but then hugged her back "I'll miss you too." Azula had a tear stream down her face as the once young and social yet scared Katara was now giving up everything for one person that everyone cared about, for Azula was the main person who turned Katara the way she is today. Tylee was next and was already trying not to cry out loud but as soon as she saw Katara she sobbed so loud everyone on deck could hear her, she ran and gave Katara the tightest hug ever "I'M *Sniff* I'M GOING *Sniff* TO MISS YOU." Tylee sobbed as Katara hugged her back "Hey you were the one who brought everyone's spirits up even in the toughest situations, I want you to keep doing that for me." "Okay KATARA." She sobbed more but then finally let go of Katara and sobbed more quietly, even though they never really bonded Tylee knew her Ora was good and she was always able to get a stiffened Katara to loosen up and have fun. "Mai I hope that you will be more open about your feelings." "I will Katara and I will miss you." They hugged Mai thought of all the therapy sessions that they had about how she never expressed her self because she had to behave and she could never tell anyone how she was feeling except for Katara. Last but not least was Zuko "You didn't have to do this for me." Zuko said softly tears forming in his eyes "I did it for everyone Zuko but mainly you." Katara said as they hugged "Will you be ok?" Zuko asked concerned "Yes I will be fine but before I go can I ask a favor of you?" "What?" "Close your eyes." Zuko did as Katara asked his eyes remained shut as he felt her hands wrap around him he then felt her lips on his he kissed back grabbing on to her waist and lifting her up so he could stand straight. "HEY!!!" Aang shouted Katara and Zuko broke as Aang got in between them "THAT WAS NOT PART OF THE DEAL." He then nodded his head at the gaurds, the guards lifted the heavy metal ball and threw it in the ocean Iroh fell back and slid down into the ocean the last thing they heard was Iroh's screams "AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH."
