Chapter 2: Barely Making It

The....The......STAMPEDE. I'm just a normal girl who used to do sing alongs to songs with my friends. But now I'm here in the apocalypse with best friends . I know we are going to die but I don't want to say anything. What's the odds 12 year olds are going to survive. Then I faintly remember what my mom said before I left her and dad on their own: "Sarah listen no matter what happens stick with your friends, I remember telling you when you were bad that mom and dad won't always be here for you there is going to come a time where the odds will defy us and you will be on your own no matter if it is 50 years from now.(I had started crying at that moment) Sarah stop your going to make me cry,Alexis just texted me and told me she was at the mall with friends, go and try to find her she will do everything in her power to protect you, you best be damn sure of it. We have a plan we will leave a note telling you where we are if you go there and we aren't there we have not defeated the zombies and are watching over you to protect and help you. Go to Noah now you will be safe I promise". She shooed me out the door after we said our goodbyes she gave me a backpack but I don't know what's in it. I walk over to Alexis and ask her "Alexis are you going to try and protect me after all I'm only a weak girl" Alexis smiled and said " You best be sure of it". Then she hugged me. We go outside and find Brian outside he is hiding under a car. He follows us as we run no matter what was behind us me nor Karmyn,Brian,Alexis,Damon,Nick,Brianna,Jake,Jonathan,Noah or Braden we're going to look back at what once was of town.

Jake P.O.V
Running. That's all I could think of other than turning around it was risking my life my little duckie lifestyle . But then I hear it "Jakeeeeeeeee" in a whispery voice. I turn and I see Alexis making a spooky face. "How was your fall".? She asked me. "I never f- she sticks out her for and I fall flat on my face. "That wasn't" I Stop in the middle of my sentence and run as fast as my legs could carry me Jonathan was on the ground trying with all the might he had in his tiny body to hold up a zombie that weirdly looked like- O MY GOD BELLA. Alexis runs up and stabs her and her blood drips down on Jonathan's face. Brian sinks down on his knees and bawls his eyes out. "BRIAN GET THE HELL UP" Alexis grabs him by the neck of the shirt. We start running there is zombies behind us and we are running for dear life. We reach the woods and see a zombie in a tree he had a note taped to him. I run and grab it. It says : Cabin is this way,I ended it all I didn't want to fight especially in the night. "Nice rhyming,Haha" Says Nick being drowned out by Brian's screeching Alexis slapped Brian and told him to get over it you can't date a zombie. I thought about the zombie on top of Jonathan I guess you could say he was barely making it.
