Time skip! 8 years later (nothing really interesting happens in these years)
Kai yawns and groans. It's his alarm going off. Beep, beep, beep. By this point he's annoyed, hitting the alarm hard and hiding under his covers. Five minutes pass, the alarm goes off again and he gets up. At a slow pace, he gets ready for the day.
Kai's phone wrung, repeating a reminder that said, "entrance exams today, 12:00 A.M."
"Shit!" Kai says, recalling what the day actually was. He sprang up, stumbling and grabbing his phone, bag, and necklace with a ring on it. Kai runs out the door, it being 11:40 A.M.
At the entrance exam
Kai makes it just in time. Present Mic goes over the directions and they go to the field.
"All I got to do is kill a few robots, should be simple," Kai reassures himself, even though he's nervous. He plugs in his headphones to listen to some relaxing music to calm himself down, when ever-so-faintly, he hears the word go.
(Hehehehee, I won't make y'a wait that long, just a few hours at tops)
