"Sakakura this is the most stupid thing the pair of us have ever fucking done,"a green and white haired male was tightening the straps on their safety belts to their preferred tightness, connecting a little buckle to a loop that was there for the main purpose of being hooked onto. The pair had decided to go rock climbing for the summer which in Kyosuke's favour wasn't the best thing to be doing because one, it was dangerous if the equipment isn't put on correctly, and two, if high enough the air tends to get thicker, making it harder to breathe.
"Munakata, don't be a wuss, it'll be fun! Trust me," He'd turn his head as he hoisted himself up, clipping another joint to the loop of his safety belt. "I want to trust you it's just that things sometimes go wrong," His eyes would seem to flicker between Juzo and his safety belt, "Y'know?" After copying what the blonde did his head perked up to see that Sakakura was laughing.
"Oh come on Munakata..you do know that's very rare that anyone dies here, right? Besides, if something does go wrong.. Well, We'll help each other out, right?" He'd speak as he began to walk up the underside of the cliff, pulling on the rope as he did. All the blue eyed boy could do was follow the boxer at this point. The fear of his cord snapping or even the same happening to Sakakura had overwhelmed his mind with fear and horror at the vivid images.
***
Half way up the cliff the muscler tan boy had noticed that Kyosuke had stopped dead in his tracks. He'd attempt to hoist himself down to him but a sharp noise caught his attention and looking up he noticed why he had stopped. The guy's rope had been grinding against a stray rock that was almost like a razor blade, Juzo just couldn't believe it.
"You said it was rare that this ever happened.. I trusted you," Kyosuke hung his head low as the cord continued to move against the rock.
Juzo's attention moved between where the rock was and where he was, he was too far to grab Kyosuke's hand if it did snap, and there was no way he could grab the rope in time. He began to panic, yet he refused to let it seep through, "It's okay, Munakata.. Just slowly move towards me an–"
The cord snapped.
"KYOSUKE—!"
The former super high school level boxer watched in horror as the other fell from around 30 feet, his breath shaking as he did and his mind flooded with the fears that Munakata had felt since the beginning. Tears began to slowly creep down his cheeks from the corners of his eyes as his eyesight became blurry from either sheer shock or being blinded by the tears.
As he snapped back into reality, the male bent over forward, taking off a small bag he had carried with him up the cliff. As he took something out he dropped the bag, grabbing onto the rope, glaring at it with a tear stained face.
Sakakura was silent as he locked his eyes on the cord and nothing else besides the item that was in his hand, he flicked it open and began rubbing it against the cord. The item had been a switchblade. As he done this the rope that held him where he was began to slowly break apart, thread by thread until—
...
Snap.
As he fell the vivid images became clear memories, the day he died with his partner.. The 30 feet drop wasn't painful for as soon as he hit the ground he was dead, no signs of pain whatsoever.
