As you stood next to Maria Hill waiting for the lift, the team came up to you wishing you goodbyes and making sure you stay safe. "Hey angel" Garcia always called you her angel, she didn't know why she call you that but she just felt like it suited you. "Promise me your be safe, and let these people be on the field this time not you, oh and if these guys push you around, call me and I'll hack into their systems in minutes" you giggled at the comment as she took you in for a tight hug. Now it was just Spencer who stood in front of you, he looked nervous, you guessed that he was just worried for you to go on this case alone. "I'm gonna miss you Spence" you spoke up, "yeah so will I, Promise me you'll be safe Y/n, can't loose you too". You knew he was still a bit fragile with everything that happen with Maeve year and a half ago, and he break if he lost anyone else important to him. The lift dinged, "I promise Spence" you hugged him tightly before quickly turning to the lift to get in it, He quickly grabbed your wrist and pull you in for a quick kiss, after you were shocked and had butterflies in your stomach but quickly lost them and kissed back. He pulled away and quick before flashing you a quick smile and walking back into the office like nothing happened, you stood there flusters not knowing what to do, until you heard Maria call your name from inside the elevator "SSA Y/ln, I'm sorry but we really must go" you nodded and apologised swiftly as you picked up your bags and walked into the lift.
*Quick Time Skip to into The Quinjet*
Just as you boarded the Quinjet, you saw the pilot swivel his chair round and say "ahh Y/n stark, long time no see" you chuckled and walked up to him giving him a hug "You alright Clint?" He smile and said "I'm fine, how are you holding up?" You sighed "umm I've been better, the sooner we find him the better. Why the hell was Tony heading to Canada anyway?!" Clint spoke as he turned around to the control panel "We don't know exactly but me and Nat have a bit of a theory".
"What kind of theory?" Clint smirked, Fury broke up the conversation "I'm sorry to break up the chitchat but can please get this bird up in the air, now" you realised that the Quinjet on the ground. "Come sit next to me and I'll explain after we're in the air"
You sat in the passenger seat next to Clint and after about 35 mins of being in the air, you turned to Clint and said "come on then spit it out, what this theory you and Nat came up with", Clint chuckle and spoke "So we think he was going to meet someone... romanticly speaking". This shocked you, you thought Your brother and Pepper were still together. "What! I thought him and Pepper were still together?"
"No they broke it off just after you visited two months ago" you had to cancel your last visit last month, Hotch called you in on and important case, "shit, why didn't he tell me, I would of been there for him" you said softly, Clint replied "He already knew your were stressed with all your cases, he didn't want it to bother you".
"Hang on so do you know who he was going to meet?" Clint sat there in silence not knowing if he should say "Clint if you don't tell me right now I will zap you so hard tha-" Clint cut you off quickly knowing you would actually zap him if he didn't say, "okay okay, I'll tell you, Nat thinks he was see Banner in private" your jaw dropped "Banner!".
"Yeah, a month before Tony and Pepper broke up he and banner had been getting a lot closer than usual, we all thought they were working on a new project and Nat always joked to me that it was some 'unspoken thing', but after they broke up Tony wasn't as upset as anyone thought he would be and Tony and Banner would always go on these 'science conferences' for weekends"
You couldn't believe it, good for Tony and Banner the both deserve to be happy if it is true, you never fully liked Pepper there was just something off to you, but damn you wouldn't of guessed them in a billion years. You were cut off from Clint yelling "We're here!
