Chapter 4: Busy

Tiffany went back home. Arriving at her place, she got into the house only to see her mom still awake. "Hey Mom" Tiffany greeted Rose as she sat down on the couch. "Hello my darling. I guess you are coming from Sarah's house? Well I'm glad she's your friend. I like her and her family. I think her mom and I may become friends too." Said Rose taking a sip of her  orange juice with a little smile on her face. Tiffany replied her mom while taking off her shoes. " Yes mom, I was with Sarah. I'm Teresa and you will be good friends too. Goodnight Mom." With that said, Tiffany head over to her room. " Goodnight dear." Rose said.
Tiffany and  Sarah went to their joint. it's where they hang out, a coffee shop. Sarah ordered 2 cups of coffee. One with extra milk and the other one extra strong. "I guess you know what I want." Tiffany said taking the cup of coffee that's extra strong. Sarah gave a little smile " Yes of course I do." Sipping down the her coffee, Sarah starts, " well I am going in search of a job here. Later this month I'll settle the debt my family is in and everything will work out fine." "That's a good idea. I already have a job. So, I know we can pull this off in no time. I know before the year runs out, we'll have enough money to start the business." Said Tiffany after taking a sip of her coffee. Moments later; Sarah went to different restaurants in search of a job and with luck by her side, she got a job in a classy restaurant and the salary is good. Sarah went home after a long day. On the way, she called Tiffany (phone rings) " Hello, Sarah? How was it?" Tiffany asked. "I got a job and the payment is good." Sarah said with a bit of excitement in her voice. They talked for a while before the call ended. A month later, Sarah and Tiffany were working very hard. They were running against time so they can have enough money for the restaurant.  They barely had time to see each other. They just talk on phone Tiffany works in a hotel as a house keeper. Sarah is a waitress in a restaurant. Sarah met James in the restaurant she's working in. "Sarah?"
"Huh?"  " Will you be free tonight?" James asked a little bit embarrassed.
"Uh... sorry I can't James. I got a lot on my plate." Said Sarah. "Oh... I understand. I'll just be here if you need me." James said while holding her hand. It was kinda awkward so Sarah quickly removed her hand. "Uh... I got a table to serve. Later." And she left.  As days passed into  weeks, weeks into months, James feelings for Sarah grew but it was clear she only wanted to be his friend. { I don't have time for love now. Sorry James. This heart is busy.} Sarah concerntrates more on her job for she has a task ahead of her. "Mom, I have paid our debt. Now we can concentrate more on getting the money to renovate the restaurant and reopen it." Sarah said with confidence in her voice and a little smile on her face.
