Draco x Reader

Odd one out

As the days go by my 'friends' have been more distant and my birthday has become proximate, I feel so alone more alone than I've ever felt. I tried to make friends with the other houses since I've not made an effort since my first year at Hogwarts I do often talk to Cho, but she is now always with Harry and has now ignored me too. The only person oddly whose given me the slightest attention is Draco, but it's not a good thing since it's mainly belittlement towards me as he recognises the departure of my 'friends'

Draco POV
I've noticed over the past few weeks Y/n has been sitting in the library alone she usually does this but not as often as I'm aware she never hangs outside the common room anymore you'll either find her in the library or in the common room. I wanted to cheer her up but all I seem to do is hurt her I don't do it intentionally but that's all I've ever done to try and get a girls attention, it's shameful I know but what can I say... I guess I can lay off her for a while I mean I thought the trio was at least loyal to their friends, but I guess they are just disloyal I mean that's what you get if you mingle with the wrong crowd

*Y/n walks into the common room with books in her hand, her hair tied up in a bun with one strand laying on her forehead*
Hey, Y/n!
She turns around to see a smiling Draco,

Y/n's POV

I look over at Draco Whois smiling at me while waving? I look around to make sure he was actually waving at me... And he was I was in disbelief, which he saw and confirmed that he was in fact waving at me " what? You surprised to see such a handsome wizard approach you?" My face turned red I mentally scolded myself for blushing at Draco Malfoy!! Well Draco I replied, I wasn't expecting anyone to approach me and if I'm being deadly honest you were the last person on my list if anyone were to approach me so congratulations you are the first this week... so what do you want to taunt me about today ? "TAUNT!!?" Draco replied in irritation, " who taunts you, not me I only make jokes and you know they are so don't flatter yourself I don't bully my own kind" he said staring at me. I looked at him in shock and curiosity, what did he mean by that 'my own kind' he's the first Slytherin to acknowledge me as a team, as a member of this house, this school and of all people Draco.

Draco PoV

Believe it or not I actually understand Y/n, my own family made me feel like an outcast since we are Death Eaters. And her family too, our family know he who shall not me named is coming back and I know me and Y/n will be by his side helping him against our will or we both will meet the same fate as Harry's parents.... Death

So Y/n, do you wanna join me in becoming the best Slytherin? Or stay like a lost puppy looking for a new owner?
