I check the time really 5:28 it's too early who's knocking on the door.
"Come in". I yell
Nona enters my room
"Scarlett.."
"Nona about yesterday I'm uh I'm.."
"Uhm why don't we settle this later you have to go to school"
"Okay"
I check the time on my phone
"Nona it's just 5:30"
"Yes I know.. Have you forgotten you have laboured Detention?"
"Dammit"
She gives a weird death looking glare
"Sorry.. I'll be careful with my language next time"
"There shouldn't be a next time okay? Now go get dressed. Wait why were you given laboured detention"
"Well when I got to school uhmm..."
I narrated the whole story to her...
"And that's why Mrs Briggs gave me laboured detention for 2 weeks"
"I see.. Just avoid this Riley she seems like trouble
" If she's trouble I'm danger"
"Scarly please just stay on your lane and leave this Riley alone"
"She messed with me first. I'm not backing out without a fight Nona"
"Would you for once drop this ego of yours. If you get in trouble again I promise you you'll be grounded for months. No phone. No boxing".
She sounds really mad and her tone is very very cold.
Nona knows boxing is my life if she takes my phone that's fine but no boxing I'll almost die. And Nona never breaks a promise.
"I'll leave Riley and the pinks alone. I won't cause any trouble for any one. I promise Nona". I reply in a quirky cold tone
"Oh and make sure you apologize to your friends"
"They're not my friends just school mates"
She chuckles a little before saying
"You'll see... Time will tell". She whispers to me and walks out of my room before I can say anything .
Okay what do these 5 words even mean. I'm really lost first she goes into cold mode and says No boxing now she goes all nice and chuckles.. You'll see time will tell.. How does that even make sense?
I was trying my best to understand the 5 words Nona just whispered to me that I didn't notice when Xander came in
"Hey sis"
"Oh hi Xander.. Uhm how long have you been there?" I ask
"Uhh not long"
I heave a sigh of relief
"Just long enough to hear your whole conversation with Nona"
