SPACE INTERCEPT Part 4

CHAPTER XVIII THE FLEET 

The Fleet.

We made it .

It was over.

We were safe at the time.

We landed on the head charter ship where all 6 of us were escorted to the medical bay.

In total there were 3 charter ships and a dozen fighters just in case .

Most of the people were in the head ship while the other ones were full of supplies.

Anyways they drugged Peter and I and carried us while everyone else walked .

And I don't know how long I slept but It was the best sleep I have ever gotten .

I woke up in a strangely clean room.

Everyone was there with 6 beds in a rectangular room.

There were 3 beds on each side.

But everyone was around my bed.

Peter was in the bed next to me facing towards me.

Then everyone else was talking at the same time.

"He's awake!"

"Look at him!"

"Does he know?"

"He looks awful."

"How'd you sleep!"

I sat up and tried to stand .

But I fell .

I looked at my feet .

My left leg was gone.

Then I screamed for 10 minutes straight until a doctor stuck a syringe in my neck and I was out again.

I woke up a second time.

My face didn't hurt at all.

Only 2 people in the room with me.

Andrew, Ben, Peter, and Boone were elsewhere.

I must have been out for a long time because Andrew had a goatee and Jacob had a whole beard.

"What happened?Where's everyone?"

"Relax.

They are in the sleeping quarters .

Don't stand up too quickly."

"No.

NO!!"

I lifted the sheet to look at where my foot used to be.

In its place was a prosthetic foot made of metal and joints.

"Woah.I-I'm...a cyborg."

Andrew chimed in,

"Well?

You know what nevermind."

I slowly got out of my bed .

It was odd at first like an unbalanced surface.

But I was able to walk over to my items.

On a chair near my bed was my black leather jacket,a new white shirt,cargo pants ,socks ,boots,and my katana .
