I was getting ready for my first day of school, when I heard a knock on the door.
I switched off my straightener, and opened the door to see Maya and another girl standing there. Maya looked very pretty, with her red hair curled and pinned back. Her friend was also pretty, with platinum blonde hair that was long, shiny, and voluminous, and cerulean blue eyes.
"Hi, Maya. Who's this?" I asked.
"This-" Maya got cut off.
"Hi! My name is-" Maya cut her off this time.
"Stacy-"
"Johnson."
I laughed at the two and Stacy just giggled. Maya puffed her tiny cheeks angrily.
"Nice to meet you, I guess." I told her while staring at her.
"You guess?" Stacy asked, miffed. "Excuse me?"
"Stace, chill. That's just how she is." Maya attempted to whisper in her ear. Notice how I said attempted.
Stacy nodded in understanding, and looked my way again. "Well, are you ready for school?"
"As I'll ever be."
______________I tousled my hair in the mirror and rolled up the sleeves of my button-up shirt. It showed off my toned arms, and that's how I liked it.
Sam waltzed into the dorm and whistled. "Dressing to impress?" He asked, smirking.
"No, just wanted to look good." I lied to him.
I was trying to impress a certain, gorgeous, sassy, blue-eyed someone. I rarely dressed up for anyone- especially not someone that was so rude to me. But, for some unknown reason, I felt very attracted to her. Not in just a physical way, either.
"Hey!" Sam snapped me out of my thoughts. "Listen, buddy, you can't lie to me. I can smell the denial radiating off of you. Oh wait- that might just be the ridiculous amount of axe you sprayed on."
He laughed at his own joke.
Sad little boy.
I shrugged "Oh well. Maybe I am."
"Who is it?! Spill!!" Sam gushed, grabbing my arm with a dreamy look in his eyes. Sometimes I seriously questioned his sexuality. "Come on, tell me! Please, please, please, please-"
"Alright, don't cut off my circulation. The new chick, the emo one. She was gorgeous, and sassy, and mean. But I want to impress her."
Sam squealed. "Skye-kins? You like my little Skye?!"
"That's her name? It suits her perfectly." I shared.
Sam grinned happily. "You guys are both so messed up that I think I could play Cupid."
"Maybe, Sam. Maybe. Let's get to school."
