Maria's POV
Im currently setting in my room reading twilight for the thousandth time. I love that book and the movie
"Maria" I heard my mom call from downstairs
"Yeah" I shouted back
"Can u come down here for a sec" she said
"Coming" I lazily got up and headed towards my door. Going down the stairs and into the living room where my mother was sitting
"Whats wrong. Mom"i asked
"Well I need to tell you something" she said looking a bit nervous.
"Whats wrong "I said slightly panicking
"Ok dont freak out...." she said trailing off
"Mom just tell me already"
"M-maria your getting married"
I froze. Did I hear that right . What?. Is she serious. No I don't want to
"Maria" my mom said panicked
"Im gonna what.....?"
"Your gonna get married"
"Mom are you serious right now. Im only 16. 16 im still too young. I shouldn't be getting married at 16 mom"
"I know baby. But let me explain why im letting you get married"
" go ahead"
"Maria ever since your father died and I have been having money problems. I can't even pay for you to go to school anymore. 10th grade was supposed to be your last year. But Anne helped me pay for this year which is your last year. I can't give you the happiness that you need. So I arranged for you to get married to Annes son. He is a sweet guy and I know that he can give you happiness" she finished with tears in her eye's
Well that was a good reason. But I dont have to do I?
"And you have to there's no backing out now. We sighned a contract" my mom said
"Ugh. Fine. Bu t can you tell me who he is "
"Well you should go get ready. Because they are coming in about..... an hour"
"What oh my god. Why didn't you tell me sooner" I said running up the stairs
"Well you were busy freaking out"
I laghed and went straight to the bathroom. I stripped out of my clothes and stepped into the shower. I washed my hair and body. After I was done I wrapped a towel around me. And dried my hair.i headed to the mirror and grabed my makeup bag. I didn't put much just some eye liner in my water line and a bit of lip gloss. I wanted to look natural
After that I blow dried my hair and let it down into its natural waves. And then I went to my closet and got out a navy blue dress that made it to my knees and a pair of black flats. I put them on along with my undergarments and took one last look in the mirror. I looked good
I looked at the clock it was 7:30. The should be here any minute. The bell rang just on que.i heard the door open and my mom welcoming them.
"Make yourself at home. Im gonna get maria" my mom said
I took deep breaths. What if he doesn't like me. What if im not his type. Ok deep breaths deep breaths.
I heard a knock
"Come in" my mom opened the door and came in
"Are you ready? "She asked . I nodded
We headed down stairs and I took one last breath before going in.i saw aunt Anne she came up to me and gave me a bear hug
"Hello sweetie" she said in her sweet voice
"Hey aunt Anne. How are you" I said
"Im fine darling" she said. I heard someone clear thier throat. It was aguy
"Oh. Maria darling this is harry. Harry this is maria your future wife"
Aunt Anne moved to the side and my jaw dropped.
