The Under Cover Hero

What happened

Chase stood by the bathroom door , his back was arched over something ... No wait someone

Right by his feet lay a small boy holding himself in a little ball

"What the hell man"

I ran up to the little boy and noticed its the same boy who Tia showed me at break i pulled his arms from under him and noticed they were tide up i lifted his face to see his noise was bleeding and his eye started to swell up his lip was busted open

I wanted to confront Chase but when i looked up he was gone , i heard footsteps run in the opposite direction

I would think that he would at least be brave enough for an explanation but nope he was gone before anyone could see who it was

The boy tried to stand up but his knees bugled beneath him , i caught him before the floor could

"Are you okay"

"Yes , I... I .. I'm fine"

"Whats your name"

"Clifford , look its not Chase's fault "

"So he didn't beat you up"

"Maybe a couple of punches was his but i wasn't his idea , he stayed behind to try and help me home but i panicked and therefor i screamed"

"Why would he punch you"

"Luca the main guy who what do call it likes hitting innocent people , has something on Chase so he uses blackmail"

"Blackmail why would he blackmail Chase "

This doesn't sound right what does Luca have on Chase that would make him hit other people

"Look I'd love to tell you everything i know but not at school , there are a lot of unwanted ears listening "

"Want to come over to my place my parents are away so there wont be anyone else listening in "

"Aah um i don't know "

"Look you are beaten up, you cant stand on your own two feet and I'm positive you don't want your parents to see you like this besides i can clean your cuts at my house "

That seemed to have convinced him

"Okay but do u have a car i really don't feel like walking "

"Yeah i do "

I half carried Clifford to my car once we were seated i noticed two things

One : Clifford is a chatter box and Two : His eyes don't stop roaming things around him its like he sees everything for the very first time

"I like your car , it has a feminism feel to it but not over powering "

Im not sure if that was a complement or not

25 minutes later we drove down the drive way, the trees grow thick along side the road and made a canopy above our heads its like its the gate way to a new world or thats what i always think . Next came the pebble drive way which is circle so cars can drive around and out the gate without actually reversing , i parked the car on one of the sides in the circle and got out

"Wow your house is amazing" Clifford's eyes were round like marbles

"Thanks "

We walked the short distance to the front door which was made out some sort of "impressive wood" or so my parents thought i on the other hand couldn't care less about the wood as long as i have a roof over my head and clothes on my body ill be fine
