Marlene gripped Dorcas' hand tightly, never wanting to let go. They looked over at the water from where they were standing on the edge of the pier. Dorcas wrapped her arm around Marlene before pushing her into the water, Marlene squealed, grabbing Dorcas and pulling her in with her. Marlene emerged from under the water, laughing and reached her arm out to splash Dorcas, who jumped under the water and grabbed her by the legs pushing her up and then following. When she broke the surface she dropped Marlene back down into her arms and pulled her back in, they were both laughing, staring at each other "I love you" Marlene blurted out, and Dorcas immediately pulled her into a kiss before pulling away to say "I love you too" and kissing her again.
