*5 years later*

The cows mooed and chickens clucked and the horses and sheep grazed. It was a sunny day at Emerald Ranch and today is the day I help get supplies from valentine.

I checked to see if the wagon was intact and horses was clipped on. I jumped on the wagon and so did Steve. Steve is alright he is the one that let us have a job on the ranch even if he did find us sleeping in the barn 5 years ago.

Steve nobbed and I whipped the rains tutting at the horses to move.

Got to Valentine in no time. I parked the wagon up just out side the store.

I jumped down and mud spluttered up me. I hate valentines, it's wet and muddy. I try shaking the mud of a bit but no use I walk behind the wagon to unlock it "I'll go speak to the shop keeper tell him we are here." Steve leaves into the store.

I walk round to the horses petting them seeing if they made it alright. Just got here and their already full of mud.

"Gwen come help." Steve calls

Steve takes one round. I walk round the back and start lifting a box.

I hear someone shout in the distance "Come on you stubid horse!" Sounds like they were struggling with a horse. A harsh whipping sound followed after "move it!"

I looked round to see a stunning dark muddy stallion. Eyes wide pulling away from its holder .

The guy was pulling him into the stable well at least trying to. The stallion rears and bucked trying to get away.

A group of stable hands walk past laughing.

The guys face goes red "that's it." He stops pulling pulls out his pistol from his belt and points it to the horses head and clicks the
hammer.

"Stop!" I run other shouting. The guy looking pissed looked at me "stop, don't shot him."

"Give me one good reason this horse is not a waste of money. Can't tack him, bites kicks and doesn't even go into the barn!" The guy points the gun at the horse again "just a waste of money."

"Instead of shooting him I'll take him." I sat taking the lead of him

"You take a horse like him?" He laughs "youll get yourself killed girl."

He goes to pull the trigger. I push him making him miss and shooting the floor. He falls to the floor and I grab hold of the lead rope. The stallion pulls away but I held on tight.

"You little-" he pulled out his muddy gun towards me but froze with a click of a shotgun pointed at his head.

"I wouldn't dear." Steve says sternly. Everyone around stops and watchs "let her take the horse."

The guy stood there full of mud doesn't say anything for a second "Ok ok." He gets up and puts his gun in his belt "but don't come complaining when she gets killed by it." And walks into the barn

Steve lowered his gun "come on almost done and get that horse tide up on the back."

As I tide up the spooked  horse the law walk by "some of the red hand gang was spotted a week ago in strawberry."

-The red hand gang? We're have I heard that before?-

"Three of them had robbed the store and headed north." The deputy spoke

"Criminals," The sheriff spits and continues to walk. "As long as there not in my town anymore."

-The red hand gang! Alex's brother, she'll be happy when I tell her-
