"Silvia" Hugo said, calling out for her in the halls of their very expensive mansion. "Please come here, we need to talk"
"Give me a minuet" Silvia replied back through the halls to him like a verbal game of tennis. Silvia was still in bed and jumped out at the speed of light, pulling on her black jeans and throwing on the closest t-shirt she could find.
"Silvia!"
"COMING!" She jolted down the stairs, only to see her slightly overweight father sternly, however in a pitiful way staring back up at her. "What's wrong?"
He put his hand on her cheek, staring into her eyes, tears welling in his own, brown eyes. "You need to come with me" he said, taking her hand softy, and with that she blindly followed, confusion started to overwhelm her.
He lead her down the long corridor, not saying a word as he silently pressed on down the big, marble passage way. They finally stopped in front on the doors leading to the living room. Silvia never went in the living room, she felt it had an aura of unpleasantness about it, for whatever reason. As soon as the doors were pulled open Silvia felt a cold, chilling breeze fly down her spine.
The stepped inside the enormous room, taking notice of the strange people sat around the table in the middle of the room.
"She's here, Madame" Hugo Burns finally spoke up, and in doing so caught the attention of the bazaar group of people at the table. They sat on the opposite side of the wooden table, at least four metres away from the estranged group.
Silvia was sat opposite a woman, but her face was blocked by a black veil, only thing visible were the blinking of her eyes. She was in between two men, dressed in snazzy suits with bodyguard standard sunglasses. They were both heavily build, but the woman seemed to be taller than them both.
"Hello, Silvia" the veiled woman said, standing to greet her. To Silvia's surprise, she lifted her veil, but to reveal something just as sinister. "How are you?"
"You" Silvia said, her jaws opening to let out an inaudible gasp escape her lips with an angry sigh. "You're.....you....."
"Um, yeah, Kesha, pleased to meet you, Silvia" Kesha, the high Priestess of the Illuminati smiled at Silvia, cloaking the darkness the lays behind her false show of courtship and kindness.
"Of course, your majesty, I was just um, surprised to see you" Silvia said, trying to cover up her already apparent signs of fear.
"Of course, it's not everyday that you see me is it?" She waved her hands to the guards at her side and immediately after they left the room in a military-like march in flawless unison. "Now we're alone, talk to me like a normal person, I don't mind, it's kinda nice to be treated like a normal person for once"
"Oh, really?" Silvia pondered on what she meant by this.
"Excuse me, but Hugo, can you and your wife leave the room please? I wanna talk to Silvia in private. Thank you" She smiled at them, but not just any smile, a smile that had a hint of threat.
"Yes, of course your Majesty" and with that they both left the room, not turning back to look at their confused daughter watching them leave the room.
They were in the room, alone now. The tall blonde woman opposite Silvia was staring into her own eyes, with an intense gaze that opened Silvia's soul and set it alight in a fiery, spiritual blaze. "So, your Dad, seems like a good guy, your mom to"
"Yeah, they are I guess" Silvia bluntly stated while fidgeting in her chair, comfort seemingly impossible to find as the high Priestess had her gaze upon the helpless teenage girl.
"I'm gonna tell you why I came to see you now" Kesha's smile turned into a focused glare, hiding all emotion, positive or negative. "Have you heard of the Defence, Silvia?"
"Well, yes, I have, um, they're our enemies aren't they?" Silvia hated muttering those words of hate against her own people, those who fought for her own ideals and cause.
"Correct, ten points to you. And you know, I could use people like you, people who are smart, and I hear you aced you general SAT tests in school, is that right?"
Silvia looked into her eyes with an expression of confusion and worry, concerned where this conversation would take her. "Yeah, that's right, why would the matter?"
"I gonna ask you, well, like you have a choice in this, to come to my palace and become my right hand advisor in the matters regarding the Defence, sound reasonable to you? After all, you were pretty much the only student to pass the test on threats to society" Kesha again smiling with that hint of threatening intent, stared into Silvia's eyes and made a sort of whistling noise.
"What?! Are you serious?! What about my family?! My dad, mom, Ethan?!" Silvia stood up and was about to bolt out of the door when Kesha did something completely out of the ordinary; Tossed her hands up in the air and suddenly a purple gas blocked the exit, obviously poisonous to inhale. Terrified, Silvia instantly sat back down, panting heavily and semi-traumatised by what she had just witnessed.
"As I said before, sweetheart, like you have a choice in this, and as for your family, they will remain unharmed, but you will have no physical contact with the world outside my palace, k?" As Kesha sat back down, the gas in front of the door disappeared, and Silvia let out a gasp of sheer relief as the gas dispersed in the air vents in the walls.
"I'm not going! You evil witch!" Silvia snapped, tears pouring from her crimson eyes streaming with salty water created by her loathing and despair realising her inevitable fate was inescapable.
Kesha looked puzzled for a second, as if she didn't understand why she was refusing, but then her face turned sour. "I told you, you don't have a choice, hun" Kesha walked straight past Silvia, completely blocking out the intermittent bursts of shouting and bawling. Kesha opened the doors, and allowed Mr and Mrs Burns to enter the room to comfort their daughter.
"We know what she wants, Silvia" Hugo said, gripping his daughter and wife in a huddle on the floor. "Just do what she says, it's best for everyone"
Silvia looked at her father, completely puzzled at why he was agreeing with her. All her life he had protected her, taught her the Illuminati's wrong teachings, and now he's siding with them. Confusion tightly gripped her brain as she tried to comprehend the complexities of why the sudden change of heart from her father had occurred.
"Just go, honey, anyway, she will wait until you turn eighteen, a whole year from now, and then she'll take you, okay?" Emily Burns assured her daughter, taking in the sobs of frustration and trying her best not to follow suit.
"A year, okay, I can live with that" Silvia said, knowing disagreeing with them would cause massive problems. "I accept"
"Okay, see ya in a year k?" Kesha said, winking at Silvia with an evil friendliness, falsely mimicking good intentions. She left the room, closing the door behind her, and left the Burns' manor.
"A year, that's it?" Silvia repeated to herself, causing a crushing weight to tumble on her chest, making it hard to breath. "A year......"
