Chapter 1: Overthrown Society

Silvia Burns' upbringing was nothing special. The Burns family was never that wealthy or powerful, even before the apocalypse of 2020; the year when the secret society called the Illuminati came to the light, after hiding for hundreds of years, often as singers or bands, using subliminal messaging in their music and music videos to try and control the innocent and unaware people with secret mind control techniques their precious celebrities tried to force upon them.

After realising staying in the shadows wasn't working for the Illuminati, they waged an all out war against the Defence, Defence being used as the term to describe the Unity between countries all over the world to oppose the Illuminati.

The war went on for 20 years, the longest war in Earth's history. The Illuminati went on to win the war, due to the fact they had influence in nearly every countries military and also had support from wealthy business people, so they had the money to develop bigger and better weapons in a sort time.

After they won the war, they made sure that every member left of the Defence was hunted down and put to death.

Now in the year 2451, the Illuminati still reign supreme, everyone obeying their laws that rivalled even Nazi Germany's strict regime.

The Burns family was just a normal family, obeying the Illuminati's rules, most likely because they had no other choice.

Silvia and her brother Ethan were raised to hate the Illuminati by their mother and father, who are very educated in the pre-war era.

Although the Illuminati took all the military power away from the Defence all those years ago, the Defence still had followers; who are likely to be descended from wealthy, well educated families.

But more often than not, these people are from normal families that are tormented by the Illuminati. Especially the Burns family. Hugo Burns had an unquenchable hatred for the society of modern Illuminati, and their immortal leader; Kesha Sebert, or more rightly: Queen High Priestess Kesha Rose Sebert.

She was a singer back before the war, and had 15 multi-platinum singles with 2 best selling multi-platinum albums, making her the most powerful, well-known member of the Illuminati; and therefor the most powerful. All high up Illuminati followers are, or seem to be immortal.

This is the world Silvia Burns grew up in, and will ultimately grow old in. This is the savage world of which she has to live.
