Backstory:
Ji-hoon was born in Busan, South Korea-his family consisting of his mother, father, and younger brother.
from a young age, Ji-hoon was already passionate about dancing. he took hip hop and modern dance classes throughout his childhood, and was even part of a dance crew. He was introduced to kpop by one of his friends and he instantly fell in love with the genre. His dance crew even started covering various groups' choreographies.
in 2010, he begged his parents to let him try and audition at sm global audition that took place in osaka, but his parents were against it due to his age (he was ten). Much to his luck a year later, he was scouted by a KG scout when he came to korea with his family for his father's work. after much persuasion and begging by Ji-hoon, his parents relented and allowed him to become a trainee. He had various pre-debut appearances; he appeared on RBB, he was Joy's partner for So Good, and then made an appearance on the first episode of stray kids for the showcase. Ji-hoon is now a soloist here at KG Company.
