Damien opened his eyes and looked around. He was back at the pizzeria but this time instead of police everywhere it was empty and dead silent. Damien's eyes adjusted and he looked around. The building was dim as the only source of light was the glow that the moon gave off outside the restaurant. Damien saw something move in the corner of his eye. He reached for his gun but it wasn't there. Damien muttered under his breath as he grabbed a chair to use as a weapon. He crept towards where he saw the movement. It was difficult to see in the dark building and he bumped into something almost falling over. Damien realized that he had bumped into the small stage that was separate from the main stage. He squinted as he tried to make out the words on the sign and at the bottom of the stage in front of him. The sign read Out Of Order and the lettering on the stage read Pirate's Cove. The curtains were closed hiding whatever was on stage behind a purple curtain with silver stars that seemed to glisten menacingly in the moonlight. Damien shuddered slightly as he turned around.

Suddenly the curtains opened noisily behind Damien. Damien jumped slightly before turning around to face the small stage. The lights came on illuminating the sole occupant of the stage. The figure onstage had a crimson red body with a lighter shade on its stomach area. The creature had no tail but its head had 2 fox like ears, a mouth with a row of dull, cream white teeth and an eyepatch covering one of its glowing yellow eyes. In place of the fox's right had there was a razor-sharp, metal hook that glinted in the light from the stage. The top half of the fox's legs were brown and tattered. The creature's endoskeleton showed in multiple all over its body and the bottom part of its legs were completely exposed.

The fox raised its hook and swung in a downward motion with impressive speed. Damien held up the chair he had been holding to try and defend himself. There was a loud CRACK as the metal hook broke through the wooden chair with ease. Damien tried to move but it was as if he was glued to the floor. He stared into the fox's glowing yellow eye.

The creature raised its hook and swung once more to fast for Damien to dodge. His eyes widened in horror as he saw the hook head straight for his eye.

Damien shot up in fear. His eyes adjusted to the darkness around him and he saw that he was back in his bedroom. He was shaking violently in fear and his throat was hoarse as if he had been screaming all night. Damien looked at the clock. It was 3 in the morning. Great, three more hours until I have to get up to go to work. Damien finally calmed down enough that he could make it out of his bedroom and to the kitchen. He turned on the light and got himself a glass of water. Damien's body relaxed as the cool water soothed his sore throat. He leaned on the counter and tried not to think about the horrid nightmare he had just experienced. But his mind would not let it go. Every time he closed his eyes he saw he gleam of the metal hook as it swung downward towards his eye. He touched his eye. Of course it's still there. Where else would it be? Damien finished drinking his water and went back into his bedroom. He laid down on the bed and stared at the celling. Eventually his eyelids grew heavy and he fell into a fitful if forgettable sleep.

Like I said before sorry that the chapters are so short it's just easier for me to write in short segments. I'm trying to put out a new chapter out for this book every other week day. But I'm glad so far that some of y'all like it.

Stay Safe, Stay Positive, and remember that PMA goes a loooong way. :D
