I watched Twilight be proud

The rain had been pouring for a while now. Little water bullets were pounding into the windshield as the wipers swiped so fast across it that they started to blur. Even with his enhanced eyesight, Jacob was struggling to see three feet in front of him.

Emily had asked him to run into town and pick up food for a surprise dinner tonight, a little birthday party for Seth. He needed stuff for a big chocolate cake with lots and lots of strawberry icing. Jacob glanced at his wallet on the seat next to him, which will no doubt be a few pounds lighter on the drive home.

After a good twenty minutes of letting his mind drift, he pulled up to the convenient store. He sprinted into the store, still managing to get soaked to the bone. It was still early in the morning, probably around seven or eight, meaning there would only be one worker until eleven. That one worker had on a blue company t-shirt, and barely glanced at Jacob as she sprayed the cash registers with windex.

Around ten minutes later, Jacob had cleared out half the cake isle, along with every box of lasagne noodles and red sauce he could find. The worker, whose name tag said Addie, clicked on the light for register two. Jacob unloaded his cart, not sparing the worker a passing glance. He bounced on his toes as he readied his wallet. Addie scanned each box, filling up about eight bags in the process.

"Birthday party?" She said, clicking a few buttons on the screen.

"Uh, yeah," Jacob mumbled, glancing at the clock in the front of the store over the big windows.

"So you're from the Rez then, right?" More beeping from the register. "Your total is forty-three sixty, by the way".

"Are you asking because I'm brown?" Jacob shot nonchalantly, handing over a fifty dollar bill to the girl.

"I'm asking because I saw your tattoo when you took your jacket off earlier, smart guy," She riled back, meeting his eyes as the register chimed open. Jacob bit his lip.

"It's that Seth kid's birthday today, isn't it? The one who runs around shirtless all the time?" Jacob forced down a laugh, not fighting the smile forming on his face.

"Yeah, that's him".

"Tell him I said happy birthday. He always comes into the store when I work night shifts to keep me company," She handed him back a ten. "I'm Addalyn, by the way".

"Jacob". He put the ten in his wallet. She smiled up at him, and Jacob took in a sharp breath. Her eyes were big and brown, rimmed by thick lashes and tan, freckled skin. Her hair was down, and laid long across her shoulders, frizzy and curled like a princess's around her head. Her smile revealed not only pearly white teeth, but a metal ring, a piercing, right behind her lips.

"You know, we're going cliff jumping before dinner. You should come," he blurted. "It'd be a huge surprise, I'm sure he'd love to have you there".

"Are you sure? I don't want to intrude on, like, a bro thing".

"No way, you should totally come. What time is your shift over? I can pick you up".

"I get off at one, but are you sure-" and Jacob cut her off again.

"Seriously, I'm sure. I'll be back at one". And he smiled, picking up all eight of his bags, and left the store.

On the drive back, Jacob's mind went back to Addalyn. Right back to her smile and those big, clear, brown eyes. And then it hit him like a truck, and he swerved off road, shifting the car in park and resting his head on the steering wheel.

He'd just imprinted on this girl from the convenience store, and he was not only about to see her in a swimsuit, but bring her around all his friends. While she was still in a swimsuit.

Well, at least it wasn't raining anymore.

Bruh

1) I'm so proud of myself for being a girl and watching Twilight. I feel like if I read twilight when I was younger I would've been a different person in regards to my views on relationships.

2) Jacob Black is HOT. Male characters that have that like,,, edge? Or that just seem more brutish and like you would define as "manly" are more attractive than more feminine guys. That's just my personal opinion, and all of my friends are on Team Edward (whores). Idk there's just something off-putting or just generally unattractive to me about guys who don't fit that kind of stereotype for what guys should be? That makes me sound lowkey sexist but that just the way attraction works. We don't get to control it, you know? It's not something that we choose. Maybe I don't find Edward attractive because I like know the story is centered around his and Bella's romance and I lose feelings for guys if I know they have a girlfriend. I'm being way to over-analytical about why I think Jacob is hot and not Edward lol.

Brain: Maybe you don't find Edward attractive because subconsciously you're not recognizing this as fiction and you're acknowledging that he's in a relationship that you have no right to impose upon, because you think Cedric Diggory is attractive and he's played by the same person as Edward.

Monkey Brain: Jacob Black has sexy muscles and looks buff. Edward is glittery and thats gross.

3) OK I actually fixed my acc which is really cool and I'm proud of myself but I can't change my email which is lame
