Meeting at Magcon (Magcon Fanfiction)

Chapter 2

Lydia's POV

I was passing the soccer ball between my little sister, Gracie in the backyard when the phone rang, it was my manager, Marcie calling to tell me that I had been invited to go on tour with an event called Magcon with 7 other girls for a month!

I screamed and dropped the phone but then I realized I'd never responded to Marcie,

"Yes! I'd love to go!"

"Good, because we're leaving in 5 hours. The limo will pick you up at 5:00 to take you to the airport."

"Awesome, thanks Marcie!"

I told Gracie to come inside and watch TV while I packed. I threw in tons of clothes for the whole month. Lots of leggings, sweatshirts and cute tops and jeans. Gracie walked in on the midst of packing and asked where I was going,

"I'm going on tour with a bunch of people and we're going to perform around the country!" I exclaimed.

She looked at me with happiness but then her eyes faded to sadness and turned dull.

"But Lydia, does that mean your leaving me?" she cried.

"No no no! I'm only going away for a little while! We can go on mommy's computer and facetime all the time." I said to her with a look of reassurance.

She gave me a small smile, gave me a hug and left me to finish packing.

I continued packing and finally finished around 3:00.

I decided to watch some TV to kill time. I grabbed my remote and turned on Netflix and scrolled through the pages until I decided on Glee.

I watched that until 3:45 then started to get ready.

I took a quick shower then blow dried my hair and slightly curled it. I put on jeans and a long sleeved top and my black Bailey-Button Uggs.

I put on slight makeup and quickly checked all my bags to make sure I had everything.

It was 4:45 and I grabbed all my things and dragged them to the door. My Mom and Dad and siblings were by the door waiting to say goodbye.

Will, Drew and Gracie were the first to give me hugs and tell me goodbye. Will and Drew the oldest, told me absolutely no boys and I rolled my eyes at them.

Gracie gave me a hug and kiss on the cheek and said she would miss me. I hugged her tightly and said that we would facetime.

I hugged my mom and dad the longest and they said how proud they were of me. They said good luck as I heard the limo honk.

"That's my queue." I said and hugged everyone one last time and I walked out the door.

I introduced myself to the driver, whose name was Finn and he helped me with my bags. I got into the car and looked out the window, my family was there waving at me.

"They really love you." Finn said.

I nodded and put in my headphones and listened to my music as I made my way to the sunny skies of California.
