Jimmy was lightheaded. Four days had passed?

Felix exhaled. "So this place really does hypnotize you..."

For some reason Felix felt a strange sense of clarity, he was no longer baffled by Jessica's words, but took them all in. It's like something inside of him anticipated these events. Was this his reason for being here?

"I was running away from a faction- a few hours ago... I found this path and followed it here" Jessica dragged herself over to a patch of moss, where she sat. Jimmy and Felix sat around her.

"They ambushed my team while we were asleep... I was able to escape but the other two are-" Jessica's voice began to crack "I- I didn't even know them very well but they were kind to me... they fed me and shared their shelter"

Felix put his hand on her shoulder, in an attempt to comfort her.

"It was Wilbur's crew that did it... apparently they work directly under the man who sabotaged the games..." She shuttered. "Some dude wearing a crown... I overheard him saying he had- 25 kills, including my team members, already"

Felix thought for a moment. "Jimmy, how many contestants were here in the first place"

Jimmy was pale, his eyes wide and lips quivering. "There were.... 100."

"Jesus..." Felix sighed, taking a deep breath.

"Jimmy can you fetch some wet moss and vines, we need to patch up Jessica's wounds."

Jimmy sighed, running over to the plateau to gather materials.

"Jessica, once we get you patched up we're leaving this grotto. We need to put an end to this madness. It'll be safe here, time seems to work differently. Stay here" Felix said, sternly.

Jessica scoffed, "You're just deciding this without Jimmy? That isn't okay."

"He said he would help me find my reason for being here, and I think saving as many people as I can is a part of it"

"How noble of you. If that's the case, let me come. I may be injured but i'm resourceful- I have knowledge and tools and stuff..." Jessica said, beginning to trail off.

A small side-grin grew on Felix's face "Well if you insist, I'm sure we could use your knowledge."

Jimmy ran back, his arm full of wet moss and vines. He knelt down next to Jessica, and began wrapping her injured leg.

"For now, tell us everything else that you know" Felix spoke sternly.

"From what I know everyone split off into groups... those who didn't went into hiding which is what I assumed you both had done. The biggest group is a faction that calls themselves 'Error' all I know about them is that Wilbur Soot leads , and his second in command is the guy with the crown. Error has been taking out groups left and right- and overall have killed over 25 contestants. They aren't like the rest of us though. I have a feeling they work for the man in charge and are only here to create conflict and encourage killings, it explains why they all have weapons and gear "

Felix nodded in agreement to Jessica's theory. "I agree, that's why they let you go. They're only killing for dramatic purposes, I bet"

Jessica sighed, slightly offended. "I guess they did let me go..."

"I have an idea who might be behind this..." Jimmy muttered, quietly.

"Hm, who?" Jessica and Felix said, in synchronicity.

Jimmy looked up at them, noticeable fear plagues his expression.

"Have you heard of the man who goes by the name: Jebediah Schlatt?"
