As death flashed before my eyes,
So did my birth.
When I came into this world,
My mother smiled
And as she looked into my eyes,
My heart smiled back.
I then knew what joy meant.
I was curious to know
where I came from,
how life was instilled inside me
in her womb.
Yet,
My heart chose to smile
For it knew,
That life lived itself,
In that very moment.
