Normal POV
Shadow went to the play room to find Shade drawing a picture on a piece of copy paper.
He said"Shade , dad wants us to go to the slave store to pick a slave of my own."
When he heard the word slave , Shade just tilted his head woth a ? on top pf his head.
"Chao chao?"
"I know it's kind of wierd but it's practice of me being king."
Shade nodded amd picked up his paper to let his master see that Shade drew a drawing of Shadow with an excited look on his face.
Shadow smiled and said"Aww nice drawing Shade." Shadow walked up to his chao and pet his head. Shade smiled at him back.
They both got out of the play room , got the money from and say goodbye to Mephiles and got out of the castle to the village. The village seemed peaceful. There are Mobians getting in and out of buildings and kids chasing around the streets. When the villagers saw the prince and his chao , they bowed with respect or saying hi and Shadow and Shade just waved to everybody. Can a prince go through the town in peace? At least treat him he's a normal person. And just because he's the king's son , Shadow never been bullied at all three schools in the village. He also gets presents from fangirls.
The boys made it to the slave store and Shade opened the door to find a lot of slaves in cages.
When the owner of the store saw Shadow , he said"Your majesty! What a pleasant surprise!" He bowed below him.
"You don't need to do that I'm not the king....yet so can you please get me the best slave you could find.?"
"Of course. I have the perfect one for you. Follow me you two."
When the owner stopped at a cage , Shadow looked in it to see a blue hedgehog. He's wearing torn up gloves and worn out red shoes with white straps , cuffs , and a gold buckle. He has 6 spines at the back of his head. When ths looked up from looking at the cage floor , Shadow can see that he has emerald eyes and a peach muzzle.
"His eyes....they look so pretty and he looks like my twin. Maybe this one is the right choice for me." Shadow thought.
The store owner asked"This slave is Sonic the hedgehog. He is one of the best slaves in the store. Would you like to buy him.
"Yeah....I would." Shadow said still looking at Sonic.
"Alright your majesty that would be 2,000 gold. Just because you're a prince doesn't mean you can get everything for free."
"I knew that."Shadow gave him the money and the guy unlocked the cage.
Sonic crawled out of the cage , stand up , and he bowed"It'll be a pleasure serving you prince Shadow."
Shadow nodded and the store owner said" Alright , I hope you have a good time with your new slave. Shadow , this one has a unique ability to run faster than the speed of sound similar to your speed but don't worry he doesn't run away."
"As fast as me huh? Maybe we could have a race sometime." Shadow thought."Okay thanks for everything bye." Shadow said as he , Shade , and Sonic walked out of the store.
On their way back home , Shadow said"This is my chao Shade. He eats a lot and he's very loyal."
"Chao." Shade smiled at his new friend and he waved at him.
Sonic smiled back and said"Nice to meet you Shade."
The boys continue their to the castle to introduce Sonic to everybody.
