Chapter 2 -The war zone

'Peep peep peep' ,my alarm clock sent a shock wave through my body as I was sleeping in bed .I quickly shot up and took a shower. I'm not really a fashionista but I've decided to dress nice seeing that its my first day at a new school. I went with a floral top and a pair of high waisted jeans.

I've decided to skip breakfast because I was way to nervous to even eat ,so I just gave mom a goodbye kiss and drove off to school on my bike.

In front of me was a mansion that's surprisingly called Riverdale High. I chained my bike and quickly walked inside before the school becomes a war zone. I unknowingly made way to the secretary's office, where I had to receive my subjects and timetable .I then asked my secretary to show me the direction to my first class but she just waved me off ,so I've decided to find my first class, which is English , on my own but I failed. I got lost .

On the far end of the hallway I saw a tall, lean figure so not to my liking I decided to ask the person the directions to my class.

"Excuse me , could you show me the way to my class?'" I sighed .

"No , find someone else" he snapped .

"But I'm new here , so please could you help me" I asked frustrated .

He then grabbed the paper out of my hand .

"Ok, follow me" he said with a stone cold voice .

After what felt like an hour, I arrived at ,my class. When I turned around to ask his name , he already left .

I quickly went inside and found myself a seat at the far back in class. Next to me sat a girl with long curly hair and flawless skin. She then noticed me starring so I looked away .

"So you're new here?" she asked .

"Yes I am" I replied softly .

"My name is Scarlet Harlow" she beamed.

"And mines Meeka Reynolds" I replied
"If you want to ,you can sit with me if you like" she said excitingly .

"Sure I don't really know anyone, so yes I'll sit with you" I replied with a smile .

The rest of my classes went smoothly but when the bell rang for break instantly froze because the halls began to get crowdy. To my surprise Scarlet stood by the class door waiting for me.

The cafeteria was awfully big but Scarlet showed me the way so I wasn't that much stressed. Scarlets friend group wasn't big so I was relieved because the smaller the group the better. I was about to eat my fries ,when the whole cafeteria went quiet. I turned around and saw the guy who showed me to class, walking with a girl who looked like a barbie doll ,yeah her make-up made her looked that way and she also seemed like one of those queen bee It girls.

I then asked Scarlet what's going on but she just shrugged me off and told me not to get mixed up with them. After that my day was peaceful without any drama ,I'm glad that I could experience a peaceful day because last year was really the worst.

The bell rang at the end of the last period and boy was I glad to go home because my bed is all I needed after that Spanish class.

"Mom I'm home" I yelled from the kitchen.

I made me a chicken mayo sandwich seeing that I didn't eat much at school. I then walked to moms room to see that she's fast asleep.

I then layed on my bed and decided to watch Netflix .I woke up to a sound of my phone ringing . It was an unknown number but yet I answered .

"Hello?" I asked with curiosity .

"Hi sorry this is Scarlet I got your number on Facebook" she beamed .

"Oh ok?" I said unsure about why she called .

"I was wondering if you would like to join me for a party tonight?" she said excitingly .

"Hmm I don't know if that's a good idea." I said remembering what happened last year.

"Oh come on please, I promise it'll be fun" she assured me.

"Ok fine , I'll send you my address" I said with uncertainty in my voice .

"Can't wait to see you" we hanged up .

I chose to wear a black short dress with a pair of classic vans ,its casual but stylish.

I wrote mom a note saying that I'm going to a party and not to wait up otherwise she'll go crazy if she sees I'm gone and no where to be found .I heard Scarlet in front so I quickly ran downstairs and opened the front door .

In front of me stood Scarlet with a pretty yellow and pink floral top and high waisted shorts. Yep we're going to get pretty close in the future.

We drove off to the party while singing to our favourite song "Youngblood by 5Seconds of summer".

When we arrived at the house where the party's at , the front lawn was already full of solo red cups. We walked inside and went straight to the kitchen to get a drink but bumped into someone ,when i looked up I saw it was the guy from school. He just gave me a cold stare and walked past me. Was he always this moody ? I thought.

Scarlet left me stranded in the kitchen ,alone with a lot of strangers around me . I made a quick exit to the stairs and swiftly walked upstairs. I walked in one of the nearest rooms but saw that someone was laying wasted on the bed , when I wanted to walked back out the person stopped me .

"Stay" the person said .

I realized it was the guy from school once again.

When I wanted to make a run for it, he grabbed my arm and pulled me close to him. I froze and didn't know what to do .

He then told me to lay in bed and started talking about how messed up his life is and told me things that sounded personal. We talked for what felt like hours until I unknowingly fell asleep .
