Chapter 6
"Here you go. One medium Frappachino" said the cashier, as she handed me my cup and a few napkins.
"Thank you." I said, nodding my head. I turned around and started to walk towards a table at the back, where me and Jade always sit. Keeping my eyes on the table at the back, I bumped into someone and accidently spilling some of my Frappachino on them.
"Whoa" said the guy, putting his hands up in surended. "Sorry didn't see you there." He said, as I looked up at him. He looked like an average teenager to me. He was just a little taller than me, had blond hair and gray eyes.
"No, I'm so sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going." I said, handing him some tissues that I had in my hand.
"Well at least you didn't spill burning hot coffee on me." He said smiling. He had a croked type of smile, which was cute and that made me smile instantly. He took the napkins from me and started dry off the Frappachino on his shirt. It wasn't alot, but I still felt bad for spilling it on him.
The guy looked up at me and smiled again. "Hey, don't worry about it. Happens all the time with me. Mostly the poeple I spill things on aren't so happy when I do. " He said, making one last rub before giving up. There was a slight beige stain on his white t-shirt.
"Well, the spill does look like some next abstract design on that shirt. Guess people won't notice." I said, smiling and pointing at the stain.
The boy laughed and shook his head. He extended his hand out introducing himself.
"Hey, the names Nathan Parker."
I shook his hand. "My names Mystique Destineé" I said smiling.
Suddenly the thought of James came up. When he grabbed my hand, this morning, I felt like I was hit by lightning but right now I felt...nothing. Isn't that wierd?
He was about to say something when suddenly a female voice yelled his name. We both turned towards the door to see Jade rushing up towards him.
"Nate!!!!!" She yelled, flinging herself at him.
Nathan caught her just in time, and hugged her back.
"Long time no see Jade." He said letting go of her and smilng brightly.
"I know! You never told me you were coming back to Maine!" Jade scolded him.
I just kept looking back and forth between them, not understanding one thing.
"You guys know eachother?" I asked, interupting their 'happy reunion' time.
Jade facepalmed. "Oh mi god! I never told you. This is Nathan one of my best friends from St. Micheals in Texas. That art school I went to before I came here in Maine." She said to me. She then turned to Nate and said "Nate this is my best friend Mys-"
"Yeah we know eachother." He said, cutting her off.
Jade looked confused. "You met before?" She saked, pointing back and forth between me and Nathan.
"Yah, she kinda spilled her Frappachino on me..." He said pointing at his shirt.
Jade gasped and looked at me, shaking her head. "Always the clumsy one." She said, smiling.
I stared at her. "Look whose talking!" I said back, smiling as well.
"Well why don't we sit somewhere and get aquainted?" said Nate, gesturing to the last table, which still wasn't taken by anyone.
I nodded walking towards the table with Nate.
"Wait! Let me just go get my Mocha Chai!" Jade said standing in line.
