"Why don't you go and sit there, next to Brad, Jordyn?" Mr Smith, my form tutor, told me.

I pursed my lips together and took a deep breath. I didn't want to speak to Brad or even look at him. How could he lie to me?! We could've gone to school together and maybe he could've introduced me to some of his friends. But no. He told me he didn't know anyone there. The cheek.

I slumped down next to him and didn't say a word. He grinned at me before saying,
"Look, I'm sorry I didn't tell you I went to Kings. I just-"

The bell rang and everyone scattered from form. Brad grabbed my arm. I tried to wiggle free but his grip was firm.
"Please..."
I rolled my eyes.
"What's the first class?" I mumbled
"Um, geography but we might have to-"
"Brad!" A loud voice boomed from a distance.
"What are you doing, we're gonna be late?!"
Two boys came up to us. The small one waved. The taller one grinned.

I walked down the hallway to geography with Brad and the other two boys. The taller one told me his name was James and he was 19. He was really nice and humble and kept smiling. The smaller one was shy and told me his name was Connor. He was in a year below us and had English first in the room across from us.

Brad, James and I entered geography just before the bell.
I took a seat next to James as I told the teacher my name. There were only 6 of us in the class. The school building was gargantuan but there were less than 400 kids in the school from Pre-school to University or 'Reception' as the British say it.

In the middle of geography, while the teacher was blabbering on about glaciers, a tall blonde boy stumbled into the room smirking. He was out of uniform, wearing jeans and a SnapBack with his shirt untucked. His tie hung loose from his neck.

"Sorry I'm late miss"
"Take the hat off Tris!" The teacher warned. "You have 6 detentions already this week and we're hardly 1 hour in.
"Yes Miss" The boy chuckled to himself. I guessed his name was Tris.

Everyone was staring at him. From the look at everybody's faces I knew this wasn't the first time and wouldn't be the last.

Tris wandered over to me before lowering and whispering in my ear,

"You're very beautiful but it doesn't excuse the fact that you're in my seat."

I smiled at his compliment but quickly got up and sat on the other side of him.

"Keep this up" he started "and you'll have a nice year here"
