    BALANCE

BALANCE. Day and night, ying and yang, light and dark. The universe dictated a rule of balance from the beginning of time. Living in content without the other was to court death—a fool's gold.

But there was no light and dark between Sybil Storm and Draco Malfoy. THERE WAS ONLY DARK, AND MORE DARKNESS.

They weren't each other's balance, they were the same side of a golden, rotting coin. Sybil would tip Draco into the same dark abyss she was born out of, and so would he.

Whatever little light they harboured in secret was futile. Even if they were fools to not have realised it...

They soon will.

SYBIL STORM had everything anyone ever dreamt of: purpose

SYBIL STORM had everything anyone ever dreamt of: purpose. Her birth was a self-made prophecy, courtesy of Tom Riddle, better known as the Dark Lord. A harbinger to his rising, Sybil Storm would be written in history as the Girl Who Gives. There was nothing more powerful than the purpose that bathed her being, the cloak of darkness that blanketed her, and the strength she exuded.

Was that all she had? For a long time, she thought so. Should she find solace in knowing it wasn't? That was the real question.

DRACO MALFOY was everything he wasn't

DRACO MALFOY was everything he wasn't. Loyalty flowed in his veins, thicker than blood and water. Armoured with nothing but a stone-cold heart and a weapon that was his family. It wasn't in his prophecy to harbour light, and yet a gnawing part ate away at him every waking moment—that perhaps this wasn't the road he wanted to take. But light was a disease, and he mastered just how to snuff it out.

Sybil and Draco's lives were so stricken with melancholy, you'd think it was the ghosts of all their pasts rushing to haunt them. Unfortunately, the living was scarier than the dead.

The prophecy they treasured for so long, Sybil and Draco didn't know that it would one day drown them in oblivion.

Two souls birthed into darkness, they needed more than a compass to escape.
