"Kry, wake up! I don't want you sleeping the whole ride," Catherine said with a yawn. I slowly opened my fearful eyes, seeing that we were inside a cab. The window was cracked open, letting the cool night air seep in.
My skin felt clammy, and I couldn't stop shivering. I could still feel the dry tears from the dream on my cheek. I searched for my Boston Bruins hoodie to get warm.
"Oh, here. I held on to your coat after you said you were feeling warm," Catherine handed me the hoodie. I quickly slipped the hoodie over my head, hoping to instantly feel warmer.
"How far away are we from the hotel?" I asked as my teeth clattered.
"Not far. It's about 6 blocks away from here," she stared out the window.
I looked out my window as well since there was nothing better to do. I scanned all the buildings, realizing how tall the buildings were. There were a lot of flowers around as well. Most houses had vases full of flowers on their window sill.
Some droplets of rain started to form on the window. As I look at the water beads growing larger, I notice a business sign outside. From what I could read, it said, 'Psychic Readings - Fortune Teller'. Then I thought for a moment. "These dreams I've been having...Those people might be able to tell me what they mean"
The cab slowly pulled over to the curb. "Are we already there?" I asked to no one in particular. I could see the Fortune Telling building from where I sat in the car.
"Oui. Ce sera € 20," the driver pointed to his meter, showing the price. His black hat was pulled down so his eyes were partially covered, with a tooth pick sticking out of his mouth.
Catherine started to dig in her pocket for the money. Mean while, I kept staring back to the Fortune Telling business. Something about it attracted me. It's like that feeling you want to eat something sweet, and you have to keep yourself from eating the whole cake.
"Ah, here we go. € 20," Catherine said holding the money out to him. The man hastily took the money an counted it. He grinned, and spoke, "Bienvenue à Paris. Amusez-vous bien," and we couldn't understand what he said.
"7 Avenue Anatole France. We're 1 block away from our hotel!" Catherine read from a piece of paper as we watched the cab drive away. "Hôtel du Champ de Mars. Heh, that's pretty fun to say in French," we both looked down the street towards the hotel.
"I'm so excited that our hotel is right next to the Eiffel Tower! I can't wait to get on the observation deck and look out onto the city," I said, thinking about how tall it looks from where I currently stand.
Then Catherine tugged on my hoodie and said, "It's getting late, and I want to check out our room! Let's go check it out already, Kry!" She tugged again, and we both started running down the street.

Right as we got to the door, a man stood there, holding the door open. He looked about 20, our age. His hair was dirty blonde, hanging down to his shoulders. His eyes were bright green, beautiful to look at. You could tell that Catherine was awestruck.
Looking with bright eyes, Catherine said, "Thanks for holding the door," sounding a bit dazed. "Do you live around here?" She asked hopefully.
"It's kind of hard to rent a house when your a door man," He spoke in a French accent, gesturing to his uniform. "But I stay in a hotel room on the top floor," he gave us both a look. I found it mesmerizing by the way he looked at me.
"I'm Zypher," he said looking at me. "What are your names?" I could barely speak. It's like he was looking straight into my soul, as corny as it sounds.
Then Catherine started speaking, "I'm Catherine, and this is Kry," she said enthusiastically. I couldn't stop looking at him. I was caught hook, line, and sinker.
Then something changed. A sharp pain in my head took control of me. I clawed at the sides of my head, and fell to my knees. A voice in my mind kept telling me things. They told me that Nick was evil, to stay away from him, and to not love him. Everything went silent and the voice yelled 'STOP!'
The voice wouldn't stop. It kept yelling out to me as if it knew me. I called out for help and reached my hand out towards Bella, but she stepped back.
Tears ran down my face and my vision was blurred. I wiped it away, and noticed that it was blood running from my eyes. My ears started to bleed, along with my nose.
I fell onto the sidewalk, with the world spinning around me. My head hurt so bad, I felt like my head was about to pop. Right before I passed out, I remember hearing one last thing. In my head, I heard, "I love you..."
