The closer we are to landing the more I get nervous. I thought I'm ready to take this new journey of mine but the closer I get to it, the more I get discouraged. Should I just go back? What if I can't do this? Thoughts like this kept on entering my mind.

"Welcome to Dallas Forth Worth International Airport..."

Ok this is it. There's no turning back now. I noticed that the lady beside me kept on giving this what's-wrong-with-this-girl look. Oh shit, was I making weird faces while having my little mental breakdown? Whatever, I wont ever see her again. I just looked at her with my signature awkward smile.

I gather my stuff and walked out of the plane. I went up straight to the conveyor belt to get my checked-in luggage. There's no need to go through immigration because I already did it at Los Angeles International Airport. Thank God less hassle for me in this foreign country. I was waiting outside for the cab that my friend booked for me. If you're wondering, yes, I do have friends here. We went to the same college and they arrived here a month earlier.

The ride from the airport to my new home for ayear was pretty quick and boring. There's not much see. It was all open fieldwith few short buildings. So, this is Texas huh? I do not feel excited at all.
