Chapter 2: The Studying Begins

I walked into the library and saw Drew who had 2 smoothies and a pile of books “Hey, I was starting to think that you weren’t coming” he smiled as he let me pick a smoothie “Strawberry and Banana or Raspberry Blueberry?” he asked with a smirk I then pointed to the Strawberry and Banana “Good choice” he smirked and sat down “So what are we studying?” I asked as I dig threw my back for a pencil and my notebook “I was thinking chemistry” he said as he laughed “Wow if you call that flirting then you need to work on it” I smiled “I was actually talking about chemistry” he holds up a chemistry book and looks confused but still manages a smile “Oh.......” I giggle and then we started studying. It was weird because the big prize I wanted I didn’t want anymore, I wanted to know who Drew liked that is my new big prize and we finally finished studying and it was 8:50 and he walked me home “So how long have you been with your foster parents?” he said as he walked along the sidewalk “6 years. Yeah and they finally adopted me” I smiled and pushed my hair back and shivered and he then put his jacket around me “Here you go. That’s great” he smiled “Thanks, Oh yeah it’s crazy I always felt like a part of my parents family but it wasn’t set in stone” I said as I looked at the stars “Now it is” he added but as we walked up my porch “Was this a date?” I asked as I turned to him “What do you think?” he smiled he began walking slowly towards me but I was walking away “You can’t hide in your books anymore, I see you” he then kissed me. I had never felt anything like that before it was magical, all I could fell was sparks and the way he kissed me made me want to never stop but he then stopped kissing me but I ran inside and slammed the door and ran upstairs “Hey bug how was the-“ my mom was cut off as she saw me running upstairs and walked upstairs after me and I went into my room and laid on my bed and I heard a gentle knock on the door “Can I come in bug?” she asked. Ever scene I was 11 she has always called me bug and my dad has always called me honey bun cause around that age honey buns were the best. “Yeah....” I said hesitantly she came in and jumped on my bed beside me “Give me all the details bug” she said smiling “Drew kissed me.....” I said as I sat up and looked in my lap “How was it” she looked at me with a smile “It was full of sparks” I turned to her “Mom, I think Drew wants to be with me and hell I even wanna be with him..” I paused “And?” she added “I’m scared.....He told me that he saw me and that I can’t hide anymore” I then let out a small sigh. “Dani, you’re in high school and of course it is scary it’s gonna be scary, I understand how you fell, when I meet your dad I was in high school. It is scary felling this way but you will get threw this" she said with a comfotring hug and a warm smile. "Thanks mom" I then smile "I love hearing you call me that, Alright bug lights out" she walks out of the room and closes the door.
