Chapter 3: Not the same

Richelle's POV

I let Summer make the major decisions in our duet partly because I was kind of on the moon but also, I wanted to challenge myself. I always tend to dance to upbeat songs which showcase my strengths but I also want to be seen as a well rounded dancer. If I proof that I can top this kind of style, then Emily might consider putting front row center.
Rehearsal was going pretty good until one moment in which I hear Summer say:
- Look, just tell me if anything is too difficult for you and we can change it.
If I had Superman's eyes, I'm pretty sure she would be vanishing in my laser ray look. I was going to say something about it but I desist.
- Let's go back to rehearsal? - I just muttered. What do I have to do to proof myself in this studio?
- Ok.
....
So basically we showed everyone our duet and they seemed to love it.
That might mean they loved our duet as a whole... or they loved Summer.
We'll find out now.
Emily stands in front of us and we move to one side of the place so she can start telling us where we'll be dancing for the rest of the season.
- So, from right to left and from back row to front row we have:
Amy, Finn, Lilly and Kenzie.
Why would Emily put Amy on the back row? I mean, she might not be the best at the studio but she's clearly more than back row material. I can tell she's not happy.
- Now we have: Ozzy, Henry and Kingston.
I can tell Henry is not too happy now either.
This clearly means I am already a front row dancer. Would it be possible I'm finally row center? It would be a dream come true!
- And last but clearly not least... on the left: Richelle.
Of course... I was not expecting any different from that.
- On the right: Piper and front row center, for second year consecutive, Summer!
Everyone claps and so do I. I'm so frustrated I can't get what I've always been working for. I guess we're not all gifted.

Ok guys! I know it's kind of different from what I wrote before but trust me, it will get better.
