"EVERYBODY WANNA STEAL MA GIRL!!!" sang Paige Harris as she pulled into the neighborhood, on her way back from hell, AKA high school. These weekly trips were normal for Paige, and the people at Sonic knew her Friday order better than she did. She pulled her Jeep in to the all-too-familiar yellow house. Getting out of the passenger side was her partner in crime, therapist, advisor, personal cheerleader, or anything else you want to call her best friend. Emmaleigh waltzed while still singing to the front door of the house, not bothering to help Paige with the supplies. "Thanks for the help, slut!" she sang in the house, expecting to see Emmaleigh, but instead seeing someone even more inviting. "Anytime, ho!" said the dark haired, light eyed 6'3 boy in front of her. "Oh Um Hey Yeah I'm just gonna go now so um yeah thanks for everything?" Paige stuttered. She violently shook her head, wondering why, after three freakin years, she still had butterflies in her stomach. Its just a guy, she reminded herself. Just a guy. "PAIGE!" Emmaleigh was yelling from her room, "I WANT SOME OREOS!" After a quick inventory of the pantry, she could conclude that there was indeed, no oreos. Grant walked in to the kitchen, and after seeing the terrified look on my face, he whispered "Lemme guess, no Oreos?" Paige shook her head back and forth, and Grant sighed, grabbed his keys, and muttered "You better love me, because I'm sure not doing it for Miss. Mood Swings back there!" he gestured toward Em's bedroom and stalked off. "Oh yeah. " Paige muttered. " I love you. More than you'll ever know. "
"It took you long enough." muttered a clearly upset Emmaleigh as Paige entered the room. Without even bothering to reply, Paige walked into Em's closet, retrieving a pair of sweats and a tshirt while Emmaleigh browsed through her collection of movies, humming and muttering, as Paige changed. Em abruptly turned around as she said in a deadly calm voice, "Where are my Oreos?" Aww snap, Paige thought, "Well, Em, you didn't have any, wait, please don't jump me quite yet, let me finish, I sent Grant to the store, and he'll be back before you know it." "Well, I suppose I won't kill you quite yet," she siad with an evil grin, "that can wait until later, right after we sacrifice the lamb I have downstairs. "
Paige shook her head and headed downstairs to the basement, AKA Grants room, with a smile on her face. Emmaleigh is a character, but she's the only one who would bother to put up with her craziness, and that's only because Em was the only one crazier than her! With a shake of her head, she decsended the stairs and flopped onto a futon, only to find herself laying on a Xbox remote. She grabbed it, yelled at Em to bring Just Dance down when she came, and switched on the TV to the ball game. She couldn't stand any aspect of baseball, but it was one of the only things Grant ever talked about, so she complied. *sigh* "the things I do for love", she thought. Em clomped in a very attractive way down the stairs throwing the game at the back of her head. "Son of a-" she was about to say when she was so rudely interrupted by a yell from Grant, "I GOT THE OREOS!" Em frantically slipped up the stairs as Paige got Just Dance plugged in. Grant walked in with a mischevious smile. "Oh no, no sir, you will not I swear where is Em when I need her, GRANT ALEXANDER FOSTER if you like not having your head up your ass, then I suggest putting me down right now!" Paige squealed as Grant picked her up and threw her on his Eno, as she tried not to flip out he laughed, "Maybe if you would learn not to lay on my spot on the futon we wouldn't have these kinds of problems!" Em walked down the stairs saying "I can't leave you two alone without both of you in the same bed together, I thought we cleared this up last year?" Paige immediately blushed and the two practically jumped apart. "That's better. Now which one of you is gonna dance to Katy Perry with me?"
The only thing that kept Paige's dignity from completely disappearing was the fact that Grant was just as red-faced as she was, and Em seemed not to realize that the two were completely silent. Bt how would Emmaleigh, as all of her focus was on the dancer on the screen in front of her, hitting every move, even adding in some more of her own. The first to speak was Grant, saying, "If this is how you attract the boys, then I fear that my duties as a big brother are shrinking as we speak." "Well the last time you brought a girl around was when I was still in middle school, so I wouldn't talk if I were you." challenged Em. You could easily see that Emmaleigh had struck a sore spot, and desperate times call for desperate measures, which is what led me to do this.
****************AUTHORS NOTE******************
So what did you guys think? First chapter wasn't a total bust, at least I hope not! This was a medium length chapter, so some will be longer and some will be shorter. This chapter is dedicated to Mary Claire, because she's the bestie and she convinced me to write a book! And everyone should go read her book, Mixed Emotions, because there is a super amazing doctor in there named Gracy Steele, which is a really sexy name!
The storyline? What did Grant and Paige do to make Emmaleigh react like that? Why is Paige so familiar with their house? Please tell me what you think! I'll take everything I can get, I want this story to be the best it can be!
Teaser: Grants baseball game! Who'll be there? THINK OF ALL THE DRAMA COMING UP!! And before the ball game, I'll finish up the desperate desciosion Paige made to kill the mood in the room.
Update: Hopefully Saturday or Sunday, the 16th or 17th!
Thanks Homies,
