We all made our way to the kitchen to eat; though that was the last thing I wanted to do. I just wanted to run out of here and go to my room. Though I knew that was childish, it was what I was about to do.
"Well, since you guys came so early I don’t really have anything ready. So I’ll order something." Liam said
"Yeah, and I have to get the room ready for you guys, so for now just go to the living room or Elli can show you around." Rachel said.
Then she looked at me for help. I nodded, screaming on the inside, but I couldn't say no to her. She did not know what was happening to me or how I felt.
“Follow me, please.” I said lightly.
They both started following me but Alice stopped about halfway down the hall.
"Actually, can I talk to you for a little bit Elizabeth? Please." She asked. She kind of sounded desperate and I kind of wanted to know why, so I nodded.
"Okay. Follow me to my room, and Vernard please go to the kitchen or the living room" I said as calm as I could.
His eyes turned a bright blue along with his hair and my heart almost melted. But, I had to stay strong. When he left we made our way to my room and went inside.
"Please, you have to help me. Go back with Vernard. I don't want to be with him" She said close to tears.
I was shocked. I had totally not expected that at all.
"Wow, is he that bad?" I asked.
"No, it’s not that at all. It's that I already have my soul mate and I was forced to leave him to marry Vernard. And I know your one of us and that you’re his soul mate." She said in a hurry.
Now I was even more shocked. How did she know about me? Rachel doesn’t even know...
Wait! Liam Leone! How had I not noticed it before?! He is Vernard’s brother. That means that he is also a vampire! So if Rachel knows that Liam is a vampire, then she knows I am too.
How had I not seen this before? I felt really dumb and frustrated with myself.
"Judging by your face you just clicked together something really obvious." Alice stated.
I nodded and then asked,
"How did you know I was Vernard’s soul mate and a vampire?"
"Vampires smell each other and for the soul mate part, Vernard always spoke about you, and I always spoke about Jake." She stated simply.
Oh. I nodded at her and understood. Then I froze.
"You said Jake?" I asked. Alice nodded and asked if I knew him.
Of course I knew him! He helped me through my whole depression thing over Vernard. He was my best friend. Lizzy, Anne, Mike, and I got distant and now barley talked to each other. As I explained this to her and told her he was also a vampire and always talked about an Alice she grinned with happiness.
“You want me to call him over I-"
She put her hand over my mouth and shook her head.
“You can't, my parents are watching us and if they see him, they will kill him. They don't approve him as my soul mate. They want me to be queen." She said crying.
I really felt depressed now. I felt my hair and eyes turn bright blue. I tried to comfort her; after all, she was really an awesome person.
"Don’t worry, I'll figure something out. I'll sneak you two together so you can see each other. "
"The only way to fix this is if you go back with him. Then my parents can't do anything and can't blame me because he chose you." She said.
I hesitated. How could I just go back to what I had just escaped? I was stuck in between being a baby and helping someone who was lucky enough to have a soul mate found. I knew what I would do. I would go back with him, but only to help Alice. She deserved being with her soul mate.
"Okay, I'll do it, but only for you. And I won’t really be with him, I will just pretend." I said.
She jumped up and down happily and gave me a big hug thanking me continuously. Then, she took the ring of her left hand ring finger and gave it to me.
"Thank you so, so much. I will stay here for a while to be with you and I will help you with whatever you need" She said smiling.
"Time for dinner everyone!" Liam yelled.
We made our way out, a beautiful ring on my left hand ring finger.
