"Why would you ever kiss me?"

Why was Mark here? he wasn't sure himself honestly, so how was he supposed to answer the broken boy in front of him

"Well?"

Renjun questioned

"I- I don't know"

Mark replied slumping his shoulders

"Weren't you supposed to confess to Jeno?, You should be with him?"

there was a pause until Mark spoke

"Do you really want that?"

his question hit Renjun like a truck

'isnt that what Mark wanted?'

"Do you Injun-ah, do you want me to date Jeno?"

but instead of saying anything Renjun broke into tears

"please Mark stop playing with my feeling"

he whimpered softly, confused, Mark took a step towards him

"Renjun I would ne-"

"Oh shut up!"

Taken aback by his scream, Mark shut his mouth allowing Renjun to continue

"You fucking kissed me!"

*Flash Back to 3rd of December

(This flashback is the continuation of the first Chapter)*

Mark and Renjun walked behind 3 of their friends, Jaemin who was laughing at something Jisung said while Haechan looked purely offended.

But Mark and Renjun could care less, they were lost in their own thoughts, walking at their own pace

"This is nice"

Mark said breaking the silence

"hmm, I needed this, especially after a stressful exam week"

Renjun said quietly, to which Mark hummed in response

"though they will be gone for a week, ill definitely miss their dumbasses"

Mark said looking at his friends affectionately, Renjun giggled agreeing with his friend, the silence slowly taking over once again, only the sounds of waves hitting the shore could be heard, and their friend's laughter too, but it was faint, seeming they ran further into the beach.

"isnt the sky pretty?"
