"First years never make the house team. You must be the youngest players in a.." "Century" I finished Ron's sentence. "Well according to professor McGonagall" Harry says with a smile.

The news of me and Harry on the Quidditch team traveled round the school so fast many congratulated us but the Slytherins would try and jinx us. Especially Harry as they think he's using his fame to get him whatever he wants.

After a conversation with the Weasley twins I could see Harry feeling unsettled with the thought of Quidditch, but for me the sound of being able to bash into people flying sounds brilliant.

"I don't think I can do this." "Now come on Harry of course you can, it's in your blood you see." And with that Hermione was dragging Harry to one of the old trophy cabinets. We were all looking at each other weird until we got closer to the trophy at the front 'James Potter Seeker'.

"My dad was a seeker too." I don't think I've seen Harry this happy. I wish I could just tell him we are family but it's still not the time. My eyes start to well up with tears at the sight of Harry feeling connected with our dad.

"Y/N are you alright." Hermione asked as she saw me tearing up. "I'm alright thanks Hermione. It's just nice seeing someone feel close to their family they don't really know." Hermione wraps me in a hug followed by Harry and Ron. I've never felt so close to someone as I have today.

"Come on guys we best get back to the common room as the potions essay isn't going to write itself." I joke.

"The staircase it's moving." Ron mentions as we try to stay balanced on the moving staircase. "Come on let's go this way instead."

As we walk through the doors the room lights up and gives off a weird feel. "Does anyone else feel like we are not meant to be here?" I ask the others as we walk down the corridor. "We aren't meant to be here. It's the Third floor, it's forbidden." Hermione was right this is the floor we got warned about at the start of term.

"Is that filch's cat?" Hermione asked we all turned around to look and she was right Mrs Norris was standing there so we knew Filch would be along shortly. "Run!" Harry shouted as we all ran to the door at the end of the corridor.

"It's no use, it's locked" Said Ron trying to force the door open, but Hermione pushed him out the way. "Alohomora." The door unlocks itself and we all run inside.

"Alohomora?" Ron questions. "Come on Ron Standard book of Spells, Chapter 7. It's dead simple." I answer for Hermione. She turns to me and smiles.

We hear footsteps enter the corridor but they die down quickly after meaning Filch has left.

"I wonder why the door was locked." Ron asks, but me and Harry have already seen why. There is a 3 headed dog behind us starting to wake up and it does not look friendly. "It was for good reason." Harry says, making Ron and Hermione turn around. "RUN!" I didn't even need to say that as we all dashed outside the door struggling to close it against this creature.

Without looking back we leave the corridor and head back to the Gryffindor common room.

"What do they think they're doing? Keeping a thing like that locked up in the school." Ron had a point. It was a rather weird thing to keep locked up in a room. "You don't use your eyes do you. It was guarding something under a trap door below its paw." "Well sorry Hermione wasn't paying attention to its feet. I was too busy looking at its head. If you didn't notice there were 3." Ron was not impressed. I could see where he was coming from but he really needed to give Hermione a chance. She is very observant, I think that's why I like her so much.

"Well if you 2 don't mind I'm going to bed before either of you come up with another idea to get us killed, or worse expelled. Come on Y/N." We leave the boys and go up to our dormitory. As soon as my head hits the pillow I fall asleep.
