2. Diagon Alley

I was left alone in the living room not knowing what to think, but I kept staring at the envelope in my hands not knowing if I wanted to open it or not. After staring at it for what felt like forever I flipped it over to see the red wax stamp with what I presumed was the logo of the school on it. I picked it off as I wanted to keep it and opened it up to see a picture fall out onto the floor. I bend down to pick it up and I see this couple holding two babies by a fountain. I Can feel the tears roll down my face as I knew this was my parents holding me and harry. Just seeing how happy we all were made me cry even more because this is what I could have had if one man did not ruin it all.

"(Y/N) there's another person here for you. He says his name is Hagrid and is taking you supply shopping." How did I forget Hagrid and Harry was picking me up. Wait that means Harry, my brother is right outside. I stuff the picture back in the envelope, put it in my pocket and head to the front door where I see the man, if you can even call him a man standing at the door he looked like a giant. But then I saw him standing behind this giant my brother and he looks exactly like the man in the photo, like dad.

"You ready (Y/N)?" Hagrid was smiling down at me, but Charlie did not look impressed. In fact she looked like she was about to charge at Hagrid for taking me out of the house, as I've never really left the house. Before I could reply Charlie grabs my arm and pushes me out the way of leaving.

"Why is everyone trying to take her away. She will not be going to this school. She is not leaving this home as it is for her best safety! She is a freak! So I don't know who you are or that other man was but you both seem all of a sudden very interested in (Y/N). NOW WILL YOU GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE!!!!" Charlie tried to slam the door but failed. Hagrid had his foot in between the door and pushed it back open. I don't move. I don't think I can move. Charlies never really liked me and i knew that but her keep calling me a freak hurts me. But Hagrid doesn't say anything he just looks at Charlie, takes my hand and starts to lead me out the house.

"If I was you Charlie cause you seem to care so much for darling (Y/N) here, I would be grateful that you get to get rid of her for a whole school year. She will be back before night and I have instructions for you once I'm back." Charlie looked speechless as she shut the door behind us. I'm actually out of the house and going shopping to start up at a proper school for people like me. I almost forgot Harry was there until he spoke.

"Hey I'm Harry, Harry Potter. I see you have had a rough life as well (Y/N)." He said this like he knew what I was going through but from the looks of it he did. Harry was in clothes that were way too big for him and he looks like he hasn't eaten in weeks, which i know the feeling off.

"You have know idea" I felt relaxed around Harry as we were following Hagrid to the nearest train station. It was nice to meet family even though he didn't know it yet. Me and Harry were talking to each other about our lives and that we both never knew about magic until today.

"Wait you only found out today as well." Harry said with a look of surprise on his face as we got near tot the station. "Yup, I was a foster child you see so i never knew my parents. But this man came to my house today and told me I was a witch  and gave me my letter. What I still haven't looked at yet.'' I forgot all about the letter. I think I'll read it once we are on the train.

"So You never knew your parents either." Harry said to me. I feel like he was understanding, well he was unwanted just like me but at least he got to know some of our family. "Yeah I was given to an orphanage when my family didn't want me. What's sad really then Charlie came along when I was 2 and I've been with her ever since but she's never let me leave the house or meet anyone so it's nice to talk to someone my own age for once." I smiled at Harry and he took me hand, looked me in the eye "(Y/N) you will always have me as a friend. As I don't think we live that far from each other. You see my Aunt and Uncle live at 4 Privet Drive. That's just a couple of roads away from you."
