Olivia raced through the doors of Mercy General.

"please, what room is Calvin Arliss in?" she pleaded at the front desk, flashing her badge. the receptionist typed something in her computer.

"he's in room 214, in the pediatric ward." she replied.

Olivia barely waited for her to finish, racing for the elevator. Elliot caught up, panting, dragging a toddling Eli.

"Did you get the room?" He asked, trying to catch his breath. Dragging a sleepy toddler through a parkinglot into a hospital is no easy ordeal. She nodded and the elevator dinged open. They boarded, Eli stumbling all the way. The poor little guy just wanted to sleep. Olivia tapped her foot.

"Liv, he'll be fine, I'm sure of it." Elliot said, putting a hand on her shoulder. She nodded, biting her lip.

The elevator opened on the right floor and they stepped out, she looked at the room numbers and launched herself in the right direction, Elliot and Eli, rushing to follow her. She reached his room and she stopped, taking a breath and collecting herself, before entering.

"Finally she knocked and opened the door, to see a beaten and bruised calvin sitting up in his bed, looking expectant.

"Olivia!" he cried. She smiled and walked to his bedside.

"Hey buddy. How are you?" she  asked softly. He grinned.

"I'm great now that you're here." he said. And then suddenly his face fell.

"Are you going to leave again?" he asked soflty. she shook her head.

"No Calvin. I'm going to fight to make sure I get custody back. I'm not going anywhere." She promised. The grin spread across his face again.

"Thank you Olivia. I missed you." he said, looking down. She sighed.

"I missed you too buddy." she said, running a hand through his hair. she winced when she felt a bump beneath her fingers. "Cal, my friend Elliot is gonna come ask you some questions about what happend, okay?" she said soflty. He nodded and she stood, walking to the door. Elliot stood, holding a sleeping Eli, and she smiled.

"Can you take his statement? I'll watch the little guy for you." she asked softly. he nodded.

"Of course Liv." He handed the sleeping toddler off to Olivia and walked into the room. She sank to the floor, cradling the little boy and felt a few tears leak from her eyes. Eli clung tighter to her, as though, even in sleep, he knew she needed comfort.
